my TL...post drop (possibly 56k friendly?)

Just dropped it on Eibach Pro Kit and KYB GR2s so i decided to take it for a quick drive around my area (Port Jefferson) and take some proper pictures of the drop. They were taken with a basic Nikon Coolpix PAS and I have no photography skills whatsoever so dont expect anything amazing.

the road ahead:

in the woods somewhere:

quick (very unfinished) interior shot:

iffy on location of 3G type S badge. think i might get rid of it:

excuse rear end damage please (and 3G-S badge if you hate it, im iffy too):

(uneven ground = uneven drop)

drove to a nearby beach:

Rear drop closeup:

Front drop closeup (hopefully it will settle a lot more):

final driveway shot:

my next goal is to get a lip kit and definitely detail and paint correction in the spring. then maybe rims, but i really like the 2G-S stockies. should i just get 15-25mm wheel spacers instead?

also i am not removing the mud flaps until the detail in the spring because of the condition of the paint underneath. so no comments on that.

thanks for looking!

i like how you blacked out the chrome trim, door handles, and the grill.. looks nice. you must black those headlights out.. would flow way nicer with the grill.

and wtf with those type s badges lol .. that's ricer status. i'd say remove the 3g tl-s badge .. and remove the 2g tl-s badge and rebadge where it's supposed to be.

drop is decent.. but remove mud flaps !

and whats up with the interior? i like the black and red theme going on but tan seats with silver trim ?

im not sure i want to black out the headlights or just clear them. either way i think im going to send them out to AckTL or JNC to get them done right. probly next year.

im going to keep the 2G-S badges on the sides for a bit longer. i kinda like it. but im definitely going to get rid of the 3G badge and possibly debadge the ACURA on the back as well.

the interior is a work in progress. the seats will be professionally dyed next year. i decided im going to wrap the door armrests, door inserts, headliner, pillars, etc, myself with some faux suede or something similar this winter break.

thanks for the comments!

Yeah the 3G badge looks outta place but the fender badge actually looks not bad. You are very creative. And what kind of center console trims are they? Paint, Wrap or CL?

I actually like the mudflaps. Unless you get a lower lip kit, I'd leave them on. They might look better if you paint them to match the car.

thanks!

i painted the center console trims SSM. i got the idea from someone over on the CL side who painted all the trim WDP to match his exterior. i still have to finish painting the rest of the black trim. and for the radio, im leaving it because i want to go aftermarket eventually.

youre right, paint matched mud flaps would look pretty good. but i dont think i will because i definitely want to get a kit so spending money on mud flaps would be a waste. unless i custom mold the mud flaps to the side skirts and rear lip haha.

looks good with the drop

you have to get rid of the wood trim on the door panels! i know you're still working on it, so we'll see more complete stuff later, but that's the first thing you should change!

as for the acura badges, get rid of the 3g type S and paint the A and ACURA NBP it'll look nice :-)

i was thinking about black emblems, or the black chrome emblems from HeelToe. im not sure though. i have to think about it.

i was also thinking about doing the Inspire conversion so idk. im taking my time making that decision, because it is quite costly.

yeah ive been meaning to get a real mounting bracket for the front plate. right now its just zip tied and double sided taped

since im going to piece my kit together, i was thinking of getting the side skirts first. just the front lip looks more off imo. but idk, i guess its whatever i find first. the rear is last though, since i want to get an ebay one and get a body shop to make bigger cutouts for quad tips.

Don't buy new emblems unless you're going for the conversion. get a can of perfect match from advance auto parts and apply ONE thin coat on the emblems.

nice. shiny. black. chrome.

oh and if you're looking for a SABER conversion, I have all the badging... included the gunmetal emblem and a black bubble emblem AND a Black Chrome H badge

pm if intersted

^ thanks for the offer but i have to really think about it.

if i go with the Saber conversion, the 02-03 Saber grille is very rare and very expensive, like $400+. thats why i was leaning towards the Inspire. it wont look legit if i had an Inspire grille and Saber lettering and id probly get flamed for it here haha.

i kinda like the clean look without the badging that some people have. but logistically i dont think i should do it because those letters have been there for 8 years now and probably etched into the paint/clearcoat.

thanks. yeah i ran out of cleaning supplies this past summer and never bothered to restock lol... before this photoshoot i didnt even properly wash my car. i used water and a super soft sponge.

im not wasting money/time cleaning my car now if im just gonna get it professionally detailed in the Spring.

I love your car but im not a fan of of the misplaced emblems. I am how ever a fan of the mudflaps. They protect your paint. If anything, get them painted to match the car.

when i first did it, i used Dupli-color OEM Nighthawk Black Pearl that you can get at pep boys, autozone, etc.

however something was wrong with the clear coat i used and it fucked everything up on the window trim. so i painted over it with Plasti dip. going to get it professionally painted in the spring.

so what you see in the pictures is:

1. real OEM match NBP door handles
2. Plastidip window trim
