I can't seem to find it, there was a guy in here that had the LED license plate mod, I think he had the PIAA Xtreme White bulbs but I cant find the pics. Someone plz help me. (I think it was on a white TL)

Nice stuff! Thanks, that gives my an idea of how they look.

But I think there was another guy with this mod a while back that I saw pics of. The pictures were shot from a longer distance at the license plate.

Welll, i know that "Subtledreamer" had started a thread not too long ago in the Second Gen Section called somethin like "new photoshoot location spot trial pics" or somethin like that. In those 4 pics he posted, one of them shows his really blueish/violette colored LED license Plate light. It really sticks out but im not a big fan of it. Maybe thats what you remember im not sure but check it if you havent yet.

Also, you should just get the same PIAA LED's that i bought. TRUST ME, dont even worry about how its gona look. I WAS IN YOUR SAME POSITION BEFORE but once i ordered them and put them in, SHIT IS SICK NOW with that LED GLEAMIN on that plate on my TL. Makes the car look so much hotter.

That plate looks awesome! But I think it will looks tacky on a NGM so I'll prolly go with the Xtreme Whites.

But in your topic about your LED int. there was a person posting about where he can get the license plate LED for $2.49, are those good as well? Or should I completely satisfy myself and buy the PIAA ones so I have no regrets?

Just buy the PIAA ones and you'll be really happy you got them. a $2.49 LED license plate bulb doesnt sound too good to me in my opinion.

I guess you could say the light output on the LED for the license plate is not the same as stock. The reason why is because LED's dont spread light. The light in LED's point straight in one direction. In otherwords, the light does not spread like regular bulbs spread light. This does not mean LED's are bad because there deffinitely not. LED's are awsome. What does help spread the light from the LED on the license plate is when you screw back on that platic dome cover that covers the license plate bulb. That little plastic dome cover is clear and has as magnifier or reflector if you wana call it inside it that reflects the light over the entire license plate. Look, if your interested in getting the LED's, GET THEM!!! YOULL LOVE IT. Looks so hot.
