the first section that says Tri-Power 3 i bought 5 of the Super-White ones for the guages.

For the odometer section i bought 3 of the super-white "super-star" bulbs which are the next set of bulbs under the tri-power ones

For the switches, i bought 5 Type-A Neo - Wedge LED Instrument Panel Bulbs in super white. And 2 Type-A in blue for the status lights on the cruise and fog lamp.

The Type-A Neo-Wedge bulbs should be able to be used in other parts like the select/reset buttons, etc but i haven't gotten that far yet

1) Unscrew 2 philips screws under the top of the dash.
2) Remove the drivers side fuse box cover
3) Remove the drivers side lower panel by removing 1) philips screw under the fuse box and then pull down.
4) Pop out and unplug the 3 switches (fog/cruise/sunroof)
5) Now you can remove the entier dash panel, use of a small flat head screw driver could help prying it away. Then it takes some maneuvering to get it off . Make sure you put your steering wheel as far down as it can go to help.
6) Unscrew 2 screws i believe that hold teh guage cluster in and remove the 3 harnesses. Now you have the guage cluster out.

The 3 arrows together (3 red color caps) are the 3 odometer bulbs, just twist and they come out and u can replace them with the 3 bulbs i listed to buy for the odometer

There are 7 blue color caps. The 2 with arrows pointing at them are signals i left these as they are. The other 5 are for the guages. Again just twist off and replace with the 5 listed above. It might take a little pressure or wiggling to get them in, but they fit fine.

Then just plug the big harness in and see how it looks. Like me, you will probably have to sit there int he care switching bulbs around untill u get them all lighting up. Since they only sit one way in the socket i messed up a few, especially the odometer took me a while to get right. Then just put the dash back together in the reverse order.

For the switches its pretty straight foward, small flat head screwedriver will help to twist the bulbs in and out. The just replace as needed, again might have to do it more than once to get the bulbs in the right place to light up.

You can just buy the led bulbs for plug and play

I got one of the #74 LEDs for my clock and it is not lighting up. Does the LED have a positive and negative side that I should watch out for?

I have a 99 Acura TL and I followed the instruction you gave to replace the light bulbs for the odometer (the three red ones in the middle). However it still doesn't work. I switched the bulbs around back and forth and it still doesn't work. Any ideas or suggestions?

Move the filament that comes out of the bulb around a little bit.

Put them in and again if they do not work then turn it around.

Unless you bought bad bulbs.

Where did you get them from? I doubt you bought 5 bad bulbs though.

I got it from the Acura dealer. They're a brand new bulbs. I don't think that is an issue. I will try to do it with your suggestion tomorrow. Do you think it may have a relay somewhere or fuse that I need to check?

Thanks,

Yes, they are all working except the odometer and the manual shift display that contains the same light bulbs for the odometer.

Check the ground as Rajca said.

Take a meter and check that you are getting power.

FYI, I brought my car to the shop and let them checked my odometer. They told me that the cluster is bad, so they ended up buying one from junk yard for $100 + $40 labor. I could have done it myself and save $40, but I knew the guy so I let them do it.

I had changed the odometer cluster two weeks ago. Everything is working fine as I mention in my last reply. However, when I put my car into drive my shift light is not displaying in (D4), but the rest work fine. Do you have any ideas or suggestions how to fix it?

Thanks
