Well I got it painted and then wetsanded/buffed/polished...here are the results...

Jorge68.....i think i may have seen your car this weekend.....were you near 122 ave.....by wesley matthews elem......the TL i saw was coming toward me on the opposite side of the street....?.....

SO sexy... minus the "H," your car looks pretty much exatly how I want mine to (yours is a TL-P, not a type-S, right?)... is that mirror tint or is that back window just real shiny?

It was wetsanded with 1500 grit sandpaper, 3m rubbing compound, and then 3m polish.

Zaino is going to be applied in about a month or so.

Maybe on a $30K paint job you wont see a swirl, but any other paint its just impossible to keep them out. Especially on an everyday driver, this is not a show car..... Looks real nice and clean....

Even the best swirl remover wont totally eliminate the swirls. Like was said earlier, this is a dark colored car, so it makes it that much harder. Then take in that the sun is shining directly on it....

From what I understand, when you polish and buff all you're doing is making the swirls appear finer.
