Just some small mods to commemorate 200k miles

Hey guys, been a while since i've posted a new thread just thought i'd keep you all updated on my automotive life

Car hit 200k today! replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the EGR ports and the TB and put in RDX injectors (awesome DIY guides on here) while I had the engine cover off decided I might as well finally paint it like I've always wanted to.

I don't know the name of the Silver metal plate, but I let it cool and I repainted it SSM and then I got non-flake ABP and sprayed the cover. I like the way it came out, it's satin finish. not too matte and not too much shine, just the way an engine bay should be! (imo..)

I also added a shift boot to my car. I know it's tacky, especially since I have an automatic. But I took off the shift plate to sand and repaint it and while it was off I goofed around and put a crown royale bag on it. take it or leave, I like it so it's gonna stay.

Other than that, I sprayed my lip kit with perfect match. Well let me tell you, it is in NO WAY close to perfectly matching my car. so I FINALLY saved enough money to get it professionally painted. I'll update this thread with those pics in a few days

just a random of my baby at the carwash, I get unlimited carwashes there for $20 a month so don't hate on me not washing it haha I used to wash it but now I can save a lot of cash this way

I recognize that that is a TERRIBLY crappy pic/angle.

....sorry

Henry, that was a little older of a shot, when I was still on hr race and koni yellows, but even with the FF1s I tried to stay as close to that height as I could, even my local highway is terrible. Im only three threads from the top currently.

^Thanks man!

Yeah the knob was one of the best "mods" (not the bag, though I like that too) The feeling of that shifter, even though I don't use it much is just so much nicer than the stock one!

appreciate the comment!

Haven't noticed it yet, I'll keep you updated. I called the parts department looking for a wheel lock remover and just asked about the injectors, since they were practically giving them away I figured I might as well. If they turn into a hassel, I'll put the old ones back in (well no, I'll buy new ones haha) and just BM them to someone who is going boost

So, not gonna be the asshole here, but I don't think you really have coils, looking at your engine bay pic, your shit is all rusted up and watnot where the coils are supposed to be, and the top plate where the holes are, isn't even filling up the whole top hat.

^henry brought up this same thing in my other post.

I do have coils, not something that I would lie about for no reason lol. I bought them used and used my old nuts, they are rusted really bad but they still work! I think what's going on is the top hat is sitting just a bit lower because most of the lugs are rusted through the first few rungs (I had to take my car to monro muffler when I first lowered it initially and they used heat tools to take the nuts off). I'll take more pics from different angles if you guys really need proof.

so that picture is an older shot you claim, but you just took pics of your "clean engine bay" and nothing changed.

sooooo I'm confused are you bullshitting or what?

according to this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/detailed-car-scrubbed-out-engine-bay-then-got-sideswiped-help-824935/

It's the same engine bay, I "thought" it was marginally cleaner than the one on here.

I guess it's not much cleaner

difference though is I got a new oil cap.

literally the pics are maybe a week apart.
