Sorry about the words not making sense in the first paragraph. 16 hour shift + posting with am iPhone doesn't mix, lol. I looked into the Yakima but I wanted the aero bars as well as wanting everything else in silver so I went with Thule

not trying to be a dick or anything of that sort but more out of curiousity and seeing it almost become "trendy" but whats the deal with the roof racks... I understand in your case you use it for your bike and that makes sense to me but is there more to it?

In your case its usable and practical but do people do it "for looks"... or is it some other kind of trendy thing to do?

Regardless, I think it looks good. Dirty or not... your car always looks good

Shots fired.

And over here in Cali, specifically Socal, all those hondatech kids have the roof rack for looks, nothing more.

It looks very nice with the racks installed My Yakima rack was a bit annoying to setup the first time. How was your experience setting it up? I was kind of worried about my bike falling off while I was driving lol, but it held up extremely well . I really like the way the roof racks look on the cars so I understand why some people would get it for looks like the socal example.

The 5th picture looks like your car has the Gundam head antenna (the way the tire holder is positioned )

yeah it took me about 3 hours to install it. a real PITA. the hardest part was getting the feet into the gutters. Thule gives you measurements but i basically had to come up with my own with trial and error. but i finally got it to work. I cant wait to pick up my bike so i can see how it looks on the car

lol u know I eat those shots bro!

Bike or not, I put my rack on because it just gives the car a different look. Rather than the same shit we have been seeing for years after years. I hardly ride anymore but still got my bikes, my Haro which is worth about 1,000 right now and a mountain bike.

I spent about 950 on my rack, if I use it or not, that shit still looks offical.

Be careful with the bra. They can really damage the paint of the car. It already happened to someone that I know.

i move the feet of the rack everytime i wash and wax to make sure i get under where they are mounted. i plan on painting over the winter anyway, starting to get bored with car so im gonna change up a few things to keep me from getting another car

Have you seen any scratches and marks from the towers on the roof between your waxing? I just got some but took them off in fear of scratches and rub marks.

no rub marks. when you install the towers be sure not to slide them back and forth across paint and that the paint is completely clean. that way there is no dirt to get caught between the rubber piece and the paint.
