Fresh Clean Updated Pics! 19's and 3A tips installed!! NO 56K!!
Team TL,
The quick flash of springtime weather here in Colorado prompted me to hand wash the ride and install my new 3A muffler tips. Here are the pics of after the wash and after the old nasty tips!!
I WENT FROM THESE NASTY THINGS....
TO THESE NICE NEW SHINY THINGS!
$19.99 each from Advance Auto Parts..3.5" tips part #62-2356
I used BBQ Stove High Heat black paint on the bottom bolt holding the tip on. This makes the bolt look way less noticeable. I should of just painted the back of the mufflers too, but I'll do that later. Since the drain holes for the tips make it so the bottom bolt will show, I figure I would do this. It's hard to see now unless you look real close, unlike when I first installed them, you could see it. I love these tips. The trick to installing is to get the tip exactly how you want them and hold it in that position while gradually tightening each clamp bolt. They line up pretty straight, so I'm happy. Plus my rear lip kit extends out a little which prevents the tip from sticking past the back of the car.

After looking at your car (repeatedly) this weekend, I had to call up Honda today and order the OEM kit for my car...getting the tips or new mufflers once I get hte kit.
Your car looks great, very clean.

Regarding your kit, did you check with Tim at Ray Laks Acura? I bought my kit from him for under $900 shipped and painted back in 2003..not sure if he still carries them for our cars, but do a search on that dealership and ask for him. May not be too late to save some cash!

Your ride looks nice. Not really a big fan of chrome wheels, but they look tight on your ride. What drop are you rolling with?

Thanks for the feedback folks. I was bummed I didn't get nominated for a spot in the top 5 second gen TL's LOL!

You have made some great choices on your car. It looks great. I love the wheels.
My wife says I should have purchased a WDP cause all the cars I show to her are white even though I bought a NBP. I do find myself browsing the WDP thread as much as the NBP thread. Maybe next year when my Jeep lease runs out I'll add a WDP and we can be a two TL family. (Sounds like a good thread)
Anyway, awesome looking car.

Very clean looking. Just my opinion, not trying to start a war.
BTW, I like the tips too. I have them also and more and more people on AZ are getting them. Cheap and look so much better than stock when you have a kit on.
