Three Wheelin'

Wow....wtf....your car is all over the place, your sub setup looks messy, your wiring to your battery looks messy, too many blue LED's all over the place, and are those blue tuner lugs on the back left wheel? Only one wheel with blue lugs? Good job on the battery relocation though

too many blue led's? i have my dome and map, and my headunit and bass knob. and some dash led's for like climate. thats it?
and yes, im in the process of putting the lugs back to silver. ive only done half the car so far, i had them all blue and didnt like it. im working on that tho.

like i mentioned in one post up, in the actual cabin not many show, and the ones that do im working on. i dont care if they are everywhere in my trunk, i never use it to move stuff so its never open. I used to have the trunk neat and organized (impossible to hide wires obviously) but i change stuff around alot so it soon became pointless

haah yea im looking for cheap rims now, and thanks for the tip on the wheel dressing. and yeah, ran out of carpet, and was like f it. better than bare mdf, and noone looks in the trunk anyway

i guess if you say no one looks in your trunk then whatever... but from my personal experiences, when people hear my sub they want to see my set up and i am proud to open my trunk and show them a clean setup. then again my car is also my DD though so i use my trunk quite a bit.
also, i have heard that it is not a good idea to mount amps to the sub box? not sure how true it is but i know its not recommended.

i actually washed my car before i took the pictures. after 8 years of my car sitting in the sun, the paint is dull and starting to oarngepeel. lots of dings and stuff.
with the blacked out housing, i actually liked them like that.
and yes my trunk looks like crap, and when they ask to see it, you can see through the ski hole and see the 15. the sub is ported forward sealed off

that looks like a fire waiting to happen. I say take some time and clean up the wiring. That doesn't really look safe.
There is alway potential, just take the extra time out. You could always do a force fitted wood board so when you open the trunk you only see the board. Just an FYI, it probably would take like 15-20 mins. I kinda like the rims.

This reminds me of kids back in high school that had the cheapest of Cars (civic dx, cavalier, neon) and just tried to do everything to make them look cool (fender vents, painted stock rims, blue LED's, big subwoofers) but eventually failed in every way (cracked fiberglass, wires exposed, and trunks rattling).
All I'm trying to say is...You're driving a "nicer" car. Make it look clean

i might take you up on that^ or build a wood cover panel like you mentioned. And i dont rattle to who mentioned that earlier, did alot of sound deadener everywhere.

so what makes me different than any other person on this forums who puts led's in there dash/lights? tons of people here do it. the only difference is you guys dont like my trunk setup. yes, it does look crappy. i admit that. but its not a big concern to me because no one sees it. but, taking the advice of acee tl, ill prob find a way to cover it up. But other than that, whats wrong with my car that makes it all crappy like your hs friends have? i dont have a spray can painted bumper, hood pins, spinners, any of that shit.

^because you posted pictures of unfinished projects.
hence the reference to hs kids.
do things right and only once.
it looks like you're trying to tackle everything at once. slow down and spend money on quality parts. dont half ass a project.
it's more appealing to the eye if every thing looked OEM. then when people got into your car, they would be like....OH SHIT!? this thing has got some bump!!!
Not trying to start something with you. but just being honest and real.

im not done with my car.....things dont just happen overnight. I am in school and a have a job, so i can spend 10 strait hours putting in subs. And having a very small budget, i cant afford 2k rims like half the people on the forums. So painting my wheels looked better to me, and it was pretty much free( twenty bucks in paint). When i get money, then ill spend it. My car is a work in progress, and yes it is rough, but thats why i put it up here to get some tips on what to do. ie cover the subs like acetl said. just saying my car looks like shit doesent really help much.

the best advice I can give you is; save your money.
we've all been where you are currently.
Do small stuff that you can afford, but remember to finish the project and take time clean it up.
this goes for life as well.
don't half ass things and be proud of your work.
