My stock TL-S, just tints, which is why I never posted pics. But at least now I have an excuse for putting it in the 2G TL forum. Plus some of you only visit the 2G TL forum so I figured I'd give you guys an update.
It never really was my very own car, so I went out, got a loan and paid for another car by myself.
And here's my new baby....
For some reason, I couldn't embed... but here's a short sound clip of the Flowmasters.

Had so many plans for the TL... but it wasn't really mine and I don't think my mom would appreciate me lowering her car, etc. It was supposed to be mine when I turn 21, but I'm moving out and besides, I can't wait that long. Plus I miss driving a car that's stick, so yeah.
Plans for the Camaro, suspension first.... springs and shocks as the coilover selection is limited (as is my budget) and sways, adjustable panhard rod, a lid (kind of like an intake) and a true dual exhaust or Corsa catback setup. The F-Body exhaust system is like the TL's, the two exhaust manifolds join together in a Y-pipe, then it splits in two at the muffler, which is not a "true dual setup." Plus tint of course...

Id cam it and headers and a tune. Make that thing breath. Get a set of heads for it too.

I've always loved camaros but I've never driven one.
Does it handle like crap as most people say?
I know most domestics are just crappy in the handling department.. I still wouldn't mind a charger srt8 or mustang.

Thanks a lot guys, this time I have a lot of plans too but am serious with carrying them out. Just nervous because I haven't done many of those things before, i.e. cams, heads, etc. I want longtube headers but am afraid of scraping after I lower it.
It definitely does not handle like crap. I haven't pushed this thing yet because I'm still getting used to it so I can't really go into much detail, but I love the heavy steering feel. It already feels a lot lower than a stock TL, body roll isn't too bad and the chassis feels pretty stiff... doesn't bob or sway after going over undulations in the road. My Z28 doesn't have a Positrac (LSD) differential and has some worn out shocks, but I'm sure its more capable than a TL-S.... especially the SS. Domestics handle like crap = nonsense. See the Z06, which uses a leaf spring (!) in its suspension system.
However it is a pretty big car and weighs a lot, plus it has an abnormally long hood + dashboard which I'm still getting used to. I slightly scraped the bottom of the front bumper twice going into driveways so far, and pulled in too far over a curb a couple times too, causing the bottom to scratch.
Also its my first powerful RWD car so it can get a bit sideways when laying into it too much coming out of a turn in a lower gear. It kind of makes a cheap "claunk" sound when you close the doors, but the sound of the LS1 makes up for it.

You'll love the sound even more when you install the cat back Borla exhaust....that thing is wiiiiiicked.....
And the long nose is definetely something that you have to get used to....ha-ha....
the driveway scraping is probalby the plastic flap on the front underneath the bumper....it's pretty flexible so no worries....try going in on an angle that'll help....

About that last pic.... what can I say? I'm an ass-man.
Back in ~2002, my mom was shopping for an Acura and she took my sister and I along. It was either the RL or TL. I nudged her from the underpowered, larger RL to the TL. Then she had to decide between the Type-S or TL-P with navi. She just had to have the WDP with ebony interior, and lucky for us only the TL-S had that combo.
1998 Z28 (4th gen)
5.7L V8
305 hp, 335 lb/ft (2001+ has 310 HP, 340 lb/ft)
0-60: 5.2
1/4: 13.7
1990 Z28 (3rd gen)
5.0L V8
230 hp, 300 lb/ft
0-60: 6.5
1/4: 15.0
Not sure which older Camaro you drove, S1ck Type-S but I've read on LS1tech that the 4th gen chassis is much stiffer than the 3rd gens and none of the 3rd gen powerplants can compare to the LS1, except maybe the (L98?) 5.7L V8 offered on the IROC-Z (245 hp, 345 lb/ft)

just to let you know gm under rated the ls1 camaro, when people would dyno it they would come out with like 330-340, it had to do with some bs because the vettes had the engine, and they didn't want to say they had the same power.....check it out go to a camaro forum....
also for mods get yourself some long tube headers, straight pipes, a good intake and a tune, and the shit will be fast as fuck......and you could also get a cam......

nice car. I'd get a short shifter first as the gear throws are pretty long. Cheap, easy mod that you'll enjoy a lot. long tubes are the way to go as well as cams for a ton of power potential. I want this exact same car accept in black with a true dual exhaust like you're planning. Good luck and congrats.
