Finally, pics of my car
finally had time to take some pics today.
I took the old rims off and bought brand new OEM 07 accord V6 wheels and lowed it even more. I have a bunch of stuff planned out already in what i want to get. I just have to save up for them first and sell my other car.
Another 808 VIP TL coming soon!

the rims are the same as the type s rims. I work at a Honda Dealership so thats why I ended up getting the accord rims to start off my Honda conversion. Plus, I was able to order them at half the price that they normally run which are over $1000.

plate that holds our state's safety check/inspection stickers. if you dont run it on a metal plate somewhere, they stick it right on your rear bumper, right side. so lotta peeps who soup up cars use these plates instead...
my old old car
number is what month it expires, gotta go once a year. it's wack. and ugly on your bumper.

I used to have the one that goes by the license plate but i had to change it because those are no longer legal for some odd reason. Hawaii has some pretty dumb vehicle laws if you ask me. lol I see your old car had recon. I am planning on getting one pretty soon before I get a ticket.

eleventure i got the same one on my TL-S that you musta had before, the one that goes to the right of the plate, vertically. , yeah its "not legal" but most cops wont give you hassle unless they're super prick. you cant pass recon with it tho....
when i went to recon with that jetta above in 2003 i had that bumper plate mounted and they gave me the ok, telling me this: the safety check plate is to be mounted vertically on the right side of the lower rear bumper, cannot be attached to the license plate, must be horizontal and the setup must be R-1-# (or whatever number month you got) no other setup is allowed. wtf... so all mid-mounted rear plates are no go (like samson's), etc.. i got numerous tickets with that jetta before for having my safety (no recon) on the license plate where the america-united sticker goes. fkn wack
for anyone who doesnt live in HI or CA, be thankful for your inspections. i dont wanna deal with emissions bs, but FK the laws down here too.

ps dude if youre planning on going to recon you're gonna need to raise your height before you go....
dunno if you know or not, but rules are current wheel alignment (30 days or less), center of headlight 22" from ground to center, bottom of front license plate 12" from ground to bottom, suspension travel is 2" total (so 1" up, 1" down if your suspension is too stiff you wont pass)
other things include battery must be SECURE, no jiggling... intakes too. all lights must be dot, safety check plate if you're running one must be set up as the jetta pic, no dash covers if they cover your vin #, i heard rumors bout the following and dunno if theyre true but i wouldnt chance it but: no dangling things from rear view mirror (ex. kukui lei or fusa), no aftermarket rear view mirrors, no stickers on ANY glazings (unless it's military access)....
things might have changed since then, i last got recon w/ my 98 CL and that was in 04.... got my TL in 06 and been running em w/out since. and keep in mind tha's on top of the regular safety check specs too (tire tread, tint, etc.)

Wassup man, Nice TL bruddah!!!. nice and clean as all 808 does it. haha. im glad i lived in hilo. no recon haha. the safety check got harder to get though. they said that if you have any type of stainless exhaust they will not pass you. its so BS because a lot of the exhaust are 50 state legal. thats why i think they are making things up just so they can charge more. so stupid now a days.
Im actually glad i live up here now. all i have to do is go to a smog place. pay $20 and im done. no inspections or nothing. they dont even look under the hood haha. vegas is pretty good. but i think pretty soon they will be more strict since its been getting a little more smog. but oh wells. haha. over all nice to have you on the forums.
