Drippin....

So, phee and I clayed, polished, and sealed my paint yesterday - here are a few pics to enjoy. Comments and criticism welcome.

Before

During

After - The paint looks like it is dripping wet now - it rained last night and I kept going out to look at the beads! Phee def. knows what he's doing when it comes to details guys - hit him up if in or near ATL.

Those spots are on YOUR monitor!!!!!!

And a few HDR (shots by phee):

a tip for others- put some plastic sheeting or newspaper-piece of cardboard,
under/beneath your work area when using the claybar
One slip and it hits the dirt= you must trash that piece!

Smart people start with small amounts and get used to the process. you dont need a hand size piece, finger sized will work nicely for average user, but if skilled and daring--go for it!
Remember to squish clay often to keep a clean side on the paint surface
It does pick up surface crud and store it

Looks really nice now guys
Pics of the scratched area after??
hand work or UDM buffer?

phee if you come out west we can line up a vacations worth of TLs for you!

another tip- when detailing the car- go for a run around the block to dry off the rotors after wash, so they are gleaming in the pics~

Hey fire- did you paint the calipers? cant tell on my monitor
Nice tires- how are they working in your weather?

I have been really impressed with the Optimum line from ExcelDetail (azine vendor)
Took years of abuse off the finish of my 01 with a UDM- similar to porter buffer
Needs another run thru with more confidence this time, then it will look good enough for a photo shoot...with my bike- which is taking up all my detailing time right now~

thanks for the compliments everyone - phee did a great job on the paint!

01 - calipers are painted flat black. i still need to paint the mufflers black too.

that is soap/water overflow and drip from the body. phee's first "before" shot is the same area - you can see it was dirty.

that denasse sealant seems to be a good product. are you getting good reviews on it?

All pads and microfiber towels were purchased from exceldetail and i believe phee bought some of his supplies from you too. Thanks again for your help and quick shipping!
