custom CAI

I made this CAI for about $20. its 3" PVC with a 90 and a 4" cone. the cone is directly in front of the foglight opening so i think im gonna slot it for more air flow. this thing is really loud, compared with the resonator removed.

if you're going to do a diy intake you should have done a diy icebox intake
i remember some guy who made one that worked better than the ct one.

comtech icebox is a cold air you can buy.

looks like a nice intake you made but i dont know how well pvc pipe is going to withstand. i would paint it a glossy black or repaint it flat black again to make it look a little cleaner.

how well do you think pvc pipe conducts heat?

i think the PVC will hold up good. my brothers a plumber and its strong, and the glue joints wont move at all. yea, i might have my other brother paint it again(hes a car painter), but the pics brings out all the imperfections. i dont know about conducting heat, but i doubt it will conduct much heat

yea, its really easy, just gotta remember about the 2 fitting but they were easy to put in. its really loud now, when it hitts v-tec she screams, are other aftermarket intakes real loud opposed to the resonator removed? i might do a sound/video clip later

i never liked how the pvc bend looks. it would look cleaner if u cut the ends off and put a coupler instead.

i just bought the same filter for my setup. 9" long 5" wide with a 4" inlet.

and those nitrous pics remind me of my old old old set up, had then it the exact same positions before. why isnt it hooked up yet?
