2 photoshoots: night & day, plus 1st attempt at motion/panning shots
In memory of my badly damaged SSR... posting some recent shots i took before the accident.
If any socal-ers are curious as to where the locations are, the garage shots are from the Ikea parking garage in Covina, and the daytime ones are from the Pasadena City College CEC (not main campus) on Foothill Blvd in Pasadena next to the 210.
So, this is my first time trying out panning/motion shots. What I did was I had a friend moving the car forward slowly (1-2mph) with the wheel turned, and while he's doing that I am panning the camera with a slower shutter speed and higher aperture (~1/3" - 2/3", ~f8.0) to capture the image. Not sure if that's the best method to go about it, but I did manage to get 2 decent pics. I heard about this method from a friend. Does anyone know if that's right?
As usual, I editted the shots with photoshop, mostly contrast/brightness & color balance. No tripod used for the garage shots, cuz my hands are steady like that I love comments & constructive criticism! Thanks.
