FIRST BUILD THREAD


After being dicked around for the Black 03 TL-S I was supposed to pick up 2 weeks ago i left them and came to settle with this 02-TL-S

this was exactly how i picked the car up didnt even wash this thang

the previous owner thought the stick on woodgrain makes this car look "elegant"? I think it looks like shit, guess it would match his chrome 20s on the car

Fix/Mod list within the week:
Rip all that woodgrain off, changing all the stock wood to c/f vinyl or just black vinyl
fix fogs mabey lexan mod or change to mint oem set
oem spoiler not aspec but other one
8k Hid Fogs with foglight mod
Change all bulbs to leds
Rear Tails To 03 TLS set hopefully an all led set as ive seen
Fix Front Emblem

Next month or so:
Coils(Tiens)
Swaybars(Eibach)
CAI(Ingen)
Headers(Dc Sport)
Catback(Tsudo)
Under-drive Pulley(
P2R Package on excelerate performance

that's odd.... ur tail lights shouldn't be amber and red.
it's should be cleared and red....

99-01's are the only ones that had amber and red.

And yes, the woodgrain does look like shit lol.

don't get oem fog lenses, those are shit and break easily. do the lexan mod, TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

 

you bought the car with those tail lights right?

 

is the front suspension collapsed?

 

With lexan mod will the inside housing look good white?or should make the head/fogs black

I got the car with those tails....he said he changed them wen someone broke the oem ones

Its canned on springs....i still gotta changed all the bushings and stuff wen i get the coils

Damn man.. you should've done your research before buying that TL. I wouldve NEVER bought it, doesnt have the right tails, suspension looks beat etc. Now you're gonna have to spend even MORE money just to get the red/clear tails.

 

how much did you pick it up for?

 

Tails are going to be free along with all the small parts also what do u think is wrong with the suspension?

The Acura badge shouldn't be the small one on the top left part of the trunk, but rather in spaced out letterings under the A badge.

IDK if I'm right, but the left side of the trunk looks a little unaligned as well.

Agree with this. The suspension looks muffed up. The stance is horrible. Why is so much lowered in the front. Check out the springs. Also the paint needs gloss.

Even if the car was facing the other way, look closely at the front compared to the back. Its WAY off.

Well first of all.. tan interior LOL. I just wouldnt spend money on stuff that SHOULD'VE came with the car, tails, suspension and w.e else.

I also just noticed your front emblem.. why is it so in?

 

I do have stock springs struts/as i said im getting all parts for free which is why i considered the car as for tan inteior to each is own

tinted all around...20 out back, 35 up front just to make the car look clean

took off all that wood grain trim

also picked up a few sets of rims....

listen be careful when you put pulleys on, make sure its not underdrive pulleys cause you will lose power to your accessories. check out XLR8 aka excelerate performence, also if you want to save a little bit of cash and get equal quality, check out function N form.com for your coilover kit, the tien were way too much trust me i also wanted to super streets, but a thousand bucks, screw that, function n forms are rated to be just ass good as tien, a little more stiffer but they are awesome, i have the type 2.5 and when you get rims go agressive, im getting a set of enkei raijins 18x 8.5 next week. check out tirerack they usually have great deals and they can deliever them balanced with tires. if you have nemore question or suggestions holla at me.

lexan mod has been done also with 8k hid both headlights and fogs

also changed all the bulbs on the car to led's brake, signals, reverse and lic plate...

got my led bulbs for the door handles today should be doing them when i get some free time...

Big question is how to do my interior.......i wanna wrap in cf or matte black what should i wrap and which colors would look good with the interior i got going on

nice. what did you tap into to do the door handle LED mod?

 

tapped into the main harness followed the diy took me 5-6 hrs tho lol i had to hide all the wires i cant stand it wen you can see them

 

coming along....but whats up witht that patking lot pic, the rear is almost stock height and the front is slammed?

 

The parking is on a little hill but mainly cuz the front shocks are shot, im going to be chaning to coils soon tho so the problem should be corrected
