02 SSM Phillips Daylight 4 DRL Installed
First and foremost, even though I never post on here, I want to say thanks to everyone that contributes. I have this forum countless times and it is such a great resource. ![Cheers](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif)
Here is a previous thread showcasing my car. I bought it with 86K on it spring of 2006 and now I'm at 200K. The transmission was replaced before I bought the car by the original owners, replaced again under warranty right when I bought it, and then just recently in January I had it rebuilt with 2 year/24K warranty locally in the Savannah GA area for $2400.

I have been looking to do something different, taking advantage of the gap underneath the fog light openings. In my research on here, I know someone else had tried but I believe it was using an Off-brand LED setup. I am very particular in the looks of my cars, border lining OCD, and only want the best. In my research, I came across Phillips' LED offerings. I learned that they supply a lot of the LED setups for Mercedes and Audi and they are the only company that offers a DRL LED kit that is authorized to be retrofitted in cars overseas that require them. Already having the Lexus fogs with HIDS, I didn't want the front end too busy so I liked the idea that the DRL's automatically turn on with the car but turn off when the headlights are turned on. Here is the kit:
Anyway, I had been having some problems with my left fog light and bought a relay kit so I figured I would knock everything out at once. About 4 hours later, and everything is done. I tried taking some pics but only did so many because I was using my iPhone and the hands were grimy. Without further ado, here are the pics:

Looks good. I tried some from ijdmtoy.com and they looked amazing and were super bright. I ended up having to take them out though and send them back because they kept turning on and off while I was driving.

While I'm not a huge fan of the look, you did an excellent install!

Here is a night shot outside to really show how bright these are. Obviously its kind of null and void since I would be using my headlights to drive and the headlights shut off the DRL
