what size for 99tl... and what is the best price i can expect. oh im running close to 3000watts. is there a big difference between yellow and red tops.appreciate any help.

 

you should call them...their customer service is very good.

with that much power, you need a bigger alternator - the yellow top wont help when your altenator wont even make that kind of power in the first place. Your stock alternator is 105 amps max - so its max output is 1512 watts (105 x 14.4). And your car will take up some power on its own - so there is no way you are putting that much power through your amps.

check out v6performance.??? they have some high output aftermarket alternators that will fit our cars. you should get one of those

anyway, you should expect to pay $140-$170 and you need the Yellow top over the red top. The red top is made to be a stock replacement, but not if you have high current aftermarket stuff on it.
