even still...

you could have bought 3 xs headers and had 3 chances of one being perfect. and then sell off the other two haha

and they won't do visual smog check.. i think first few smogs you do are just to see if your car passes emissions and not visual...

well, for me, i got my dad's buddy who's son is on acurazine..

wow.. how crazy.. lol

How about Megan Racing? They are about $350 and seem to work great on my 01 accord V6.

who cares about it being illegal. paint the front header with hightemp flat black paint. ive had my hood popped, cop didnt even notice... there wasnt anything shiny to attract his attention.

Spray them with black or gray heat paint, and or find a way to get the stock heat shields to fit over them to make it look like stock. There is nothing about them that would cause them to fail any emissions

buying a CARB legal headers instead of just getting something else thats cheaper and works as well when you can always just get away with it.

Hey Cali people, with all this CARB stuff, do they actually look at headers on an inspection or what? stock headers don't have any kind of stamping that say CARB approved or something do they? what if you had your heat shield off with stock headers, would you fail?

Looking forward to learning more about these DC headers...the XS seem to be a good choice but can't get them new anymore..someone local here may be selling their XS headers to me but if that falls through, i need another option and i guess it may be DC

actually, you have to keep your heat shields on...

where bolt #5 would screw into is actually just a hole. with threads... so if you have it off, it'll sound like you're running no exhaust and just headers.... but more fartier.. lol

i haven't done smog yet so i wouldn't kno about visual inspection...

I found some headers on craigslist, new, that appear to be XS Power. They're in Clarksville, TN if anyone wants to look into it. I personally have a set already, just figured I'd help another Aziner out

$130 OBO which isn't too bad all.

ive been reading threads on xs headers and it seems to me that gains from these headers will only be evident in higher rpms only. Is this correct? I'd say I drive normally and does not floor a lot... will I get any benefits in adding this mod to my 03 TL-S?
