I tried using search but since it does not support short words I could not find a for sure answer. I have heard some say the V2 will not fir type S because of the fog lights and others have said it will. So which is it? I am thinking of getting one for my 02 TL-S and did not want to make a $300 mistake in doing so. Also is it worth the extra money versus the regular AEM CAI? Thanks.

Don't take my word 100% but if my memory serves me well then I belive that the V2 doesnt fit the TL-S without some modification. hopefully someone can confirm this.

AEM v2 does not directly fit on, you need to fabricate the tab.

I bet it will fit just fine. You will just have to cut and shorten it up where it connects to the VSA TB

Would modifying it degrade performance any? In your opinion is it worth it to modify it or just get a intake that actually fits?

go to the aem web site - they have a fitment guide. if i remember correctly there are 2 versions available. i was looking at one last week. i have an o3 TL-S

I highly doubt it would All your doing is making it shorter up top for the VSA. It wouldn't be any different than what they do for the regular cai

i had the V2 on my 01 TL and wen i got my 03 TLS it didntfit...i had it cut and modified to fit and i dont know any intake that can perform like it

V2 is a waste on the TLS.

The piping from the throttle body is only 2.75" to match the TLP's throttle body opening. Get the AEM CAI for the TypeS.
