What will separate my car from the rest?

More than you should pay. If you have a jack and common hand tools you can replace your stock spring and shocks with coilovers without having to worry about spring compressors. If you are going the lowering spring route then a spring compressor is a must (unless youre ghetto like me) and you can borrow them from most auto parts stores.
Its not hard if you take your time. Like all things, the first one is going to be the hardest and the rest will be a breeze.

for spring and shock installation i was quoted $125 per wheel. coilovers was $100 per wheel. its insanity.
i actually just bought eibachs and kybs. i need help putting them in since ive never done any suspension work before and i dont want to eff up. i will post in the regions section, but does anyone here know of anyone who can help me? for less $$ of course.

I never did any suspension work before my drop either.
get a 14mm, a 19mm and a 17mm. a hydraulic jack and jackstands, a buddy, a flashlight, a screwdriver (for pushing out that bolt that runs laterally on the fork) and a case of beer.
read the DIY a couple times and there is a youtube video showing how to do it as well as a video showing how to remove the seats. have your friends help you out with holding things in place and pushing down on the wheel unit and you should be good to go.
I was freaked out pretty bad when i started but as soon as I got one done, it was smooth sailing for me...until I couldn't get a nut lose but that's beyond the point haha
