upgrading sound system...
i have a 2003 TL-S, i think 1st mod im going to be doing is sound system upgrade....
but not planning on going all crazy and spending lots of money... just want to upgrade the front two speakers and back two speakers...
what do yall recommend? what size speakers fit?
just planning on buying them and replacing the stock ones, not planning on putting in an amp or anything like that...
also wondering if i can just take out my stock sub and put one in the place of that rather than getting a box and taking up trunk space?
want to make it look stock...
then last, i want to upgrade my radio.... planning on going with a ~4in single din...
also planning on doing all of the installing myself. any help would be nice. thanks

i believe the speakers are 6 1/2" for front and rear. i think you have to get a box..lol anything nice anyways. but you can always think about getting some shallow subs.
go with sony speakers xsgt1625a is ok since its not that expensive.

6.5" F&R, get speakers that have neodymium magnets as they have a much shallower mounting depth. Eclipse Point Source speakers are the best bang for the buck IMO. Don't even bother putting a different sub in the stock decklid enclosure. Get a seperate 10-12" sub for the trunk and do it right. I would replace the HU if you get new speakers as the stock HU is weak and the stock speakers have small amp's to enhance their crappiness to an acceptable/barely tolerable excuse for a premium sound system. Alpine CDA HU's are a great value.

okay i guess ill probably do speakers 1st, then headunit and subs... i used to have 2-12 kenwoods in my integra, and that was too much... so probably a small 10 is what im going to go with...
for the headunit i was thinking something like this: http://mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_...IN-432BTS.html
has anyone ever had any experience with one of these? seems nice since it has alot of nice features...

Never heard of that brand before. Sounds like a cheapo brand to me. Yeah lots of nice features, but quality probably isn't there and reliability I would question. For that money you could get a nice Alpine CDA HU and you'll get unbelievable sound quality from a top tier name brand and reliability that you'll never need to question.
