Upgrading 03 Navi to 07 Navi

Has anyone ever thought of doing this? I'm thinking it should be just like installing navi on a non-navi perhaps.....

I just downloaded the '03 navi diagram and will look for the '07. Ours are just so dated looking and I'd love to have the new traffic features

Any thoughts?

I havent read of anybody doing it but I was thinking the samething a few weeks back. In theory, all you need to do is cut and slice as applies and you should be good to go. right?

could you keep your current nav screen and just get all the 07 goodies like traffic update?

^not sure if you could change the configuration of the 07's display to fit on our smaller screens...

tegkid has a point tho, that screen is huge compared to ours, need to measure it to see how much of our dash would need to be modded, unless one wanted to relocate it to the stock stereo location (just thinking out loud)

it would honestly be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to just get a standard double din gps system and put it in the cd changer location

so unless you find a great deal on an 07 navi system or have the balls/money to do this then its just not worth it.
