Tsudo Axlebacks - First Impression

Ok so my Tsudo Axlebacks arrived today after a short confusing wait due to the package not tracking for some reason. Stupid ground shipping. Regardless, they arrived today and I gotta say I am pretty impressed with how they look. For $279 and free confusing shipping I am very happy. If you're curious, I ordered from Speed Element motors. I'll update after I install them.

i bought tsudo axlebacks as well for my 2g tl-s. i got them before they hiked up the prices on them.. got them for $225 w/o sales tax. with sales tax was about $250.

you might want to do the midmuffler delete because if you just slap them on, they'll be quiet. you'll only hear the slight drone around 2-3k. up to what you really want tho.

You possibly cant do it yourself at home unless you have a welding machine, piping and a machine that can bend pipes.

Dave, let me know how you like them once installed. I am planning to order soon too. Just not sure if I should order somewhere else than Speed Element so I do not experience that shipping confusion you mentioned. Only sad part is I live in CA, so regardless where I order them, I will have to shell out extra for tax. oh well...

It was more FedEx terrible tracking than Speed Element. They had the lowest price and will match any lower price you find within a year I believe.

Or you can buy them 80 each. What's the difference between the SP and the SP2? The axle backs are SP

Those, my friend are not a direct bolt on product. That's the only difference I see. That will require welding and custom fitting to get them on your car. Not really a big deal of you've got access to a welder as bender but from a DIY aspect unless your garage is the kind that makes men drool, you won't be doing this alone at home like I did mine.

That's the stupid dealership I got the car from. I have a new plate frame but I have no clue how to remove the decals without any damage so I've left it alone for now.

I just got my tsudos too and I was trying to install them this weekend but I FAILED! It seemed so simple, two bolts and 2 rubber hangers each side. I was able to put them on (I have a rear lip) but the wont line up. The right side hangs low and the left side is hitting the lip. One thing I noticed was that the hanger away from the tip are not placed on the same spot for both mufflers. Is this normal? I also tried to adjust the rubber hangers but did not do much change. Any advice guys?

Holy shit dude. I had EXACTLY the same problem. I had to go to Advance Auto and get some universal hangers. They were like 7 bucks per. It was like a thick rubber belt with a metal hook on the end. I just cut the metal part off and used the rubber. Worked great. Now the shop that cut my mid muffler out installed the piece of pipe a bit too long and the right side is now messed up and cocked. Headed back tomorrow and hope its fixed. I'll find u the link to the hangers if I can. If not I know I posted it on a different thread.

Are yours hanging the same now on both sides after using those hangers?

Yes my issue was w the muffler on the drivers side. Those hangers got it to hang perfectly. Check my pic out. That's w new hangers on driver side only. Leave passenger side be it will stay there when u adjust the other one.

i only paid 200 for mine about 2 years ago.

they sound awesome very deep.

id recommend getting the dc headers and jpipe package if you have not already done so. nice power increase.

i didnt do the mid muffler delete though and they are already very loud i cant imagine what they would sound like if i did
