Tsudo Axleback Dual Exhaust System

What do you guys think about the Tsudo Axleback for our TLs? If anyone has or had the exhaust, id like to know your opinion of it. Like how it sounds or if there is any HP gains at all. I am planning to buy it soon and just want to know if the buy is worth it, Thanks

I am about to buy the same thing. If you want hp gains from your exhaust than you should def get a cat-back. The axleback is primarily for noise. I mean I'm sure there's some gains but Im not 100% sure. If you want to put the tsudos on and have hp gains, Im going to do custom pipes and that might help a little and do the mid-muffler delete as many of the members did. But i hear that if you do the mid muffler delete there wont be any rasp and it'll be a nice clean noise. If you got the money and want the best exhaust go atlp.... so i hear

Actually I think most Cat-Backs have the Same Pipe Diameter (Can be Wrong) as the Type-S so IMO the Gains come from the Less-restrictive Mufflers the Same that can be Found on the Axle-Backs.

Since OP has the Type-S, I think a Cat-Back and an Axle-Back can do the same +/- amount of Gains...
Later down the Road do a Custom Pipes and Be Set (Kinda what im planning to do).

But I dont have either so the Heavy Guys can Chime In and Light me on the Subject.

type-s piping is 2.25 to 2 iirc

going from 2.5 to 2.25 split will free up some more exhaust flow.

also the free flowing mufflers of the ATLP is what gives it the most gains.

I was thinking of getting a cat-back but its way too much money for me. What are the custom pipes? and yeah im doing the mid-muffler delete as well on the same day as the installation. I would get the atlp but no 1000$ in my pocket

If you're interested in the ATLP system, they are offering an installment payment plan if you do not have the full amount up front.

Yea man Im in the same boat. custom pipes from your catalytic converter. Our piping from the cat is restricted. I believe it is 2 inch piping maybe 2.25 if you have a type-s. Im not a professional like some of the other members here. They know a lot more than me.

if you want power, upgrade your headers.

have you seen how the stock headers look?

straight up 90 bend on header manifolds. lol

temporarily run Tsudo if you want... imo, I'd go custom with something like Magnaflow mufflers

Would u say the Headers make the Vtec louder? and nope the headers have this cover thing over it. But yeah im thinking about getting the Tsudos or nothing cause the other exhausts are beyond my $ limit

headers don't make it much louder if any, they just breathe better. the custom pipes are having a muffler shop make a custom exhaust from the catalytic converter to the end of the car "cat-back" the mid muffler can be deleted to improve exhaust flow and noise for like 40-50 dollars. It is the one in the center of the car that is more square the resonator is more rectangular. The tsudo exhaust is the cheapest that I know of for aftermarket so get that and you could always delete the mid muffler later. You are going to see almost no gains by doing this though since you already have a type-s just more noise. if you want gain and noise try and intake.

mid-muffler is to reduce rasp/drone/sound level. it doesn't really restrict exhaust flow.

i would def go for headers. save the money from buying the Tsudo.

Not trying to sound like an ass, but if you guys are short on money then why pay someone to put on an exhaust? It's like 4 bolts...plus half the fun of modding a car is building it yourself rather then driving something built by your mechanic. Save your money and do the install, or spend your money on a good jack and a ratchet set. To me the TSUDO is the best looking exhaust for our cars, the ATLP hangs low and looks like crap IMO. Its a cheap exhaust but it sounds nice despite being rather quiet, it holds its finish well, and while the welds aren't incredible they're good enough. There is a whole thread already on this subject from a week ago with a few pics I posted.

No the custom pipes is the piping from the cat converter to the Y. The mid-muffler delete is taking out the resonator.

No the mid muffler delete is deleting the muffler in the middle of the car. Delete the resonator instead of the mid muffler and it will be raspy
