torque damperners

My car needs motor mounts terribly. Whenever I press on the gas i feel as though the front end is trying to come out of its place. If I keep the car like this will the engine eventually fall out or what. Also would a torque dampener do anything for me. If so I cant find any for our tls only tsx? Does anyone know of a place i could get one? Thank you

Worry about replacing your motor mounts before installing a torque damper. If your mounts are shot, the damper will do virtually nothing.

Get your mounts fixed FIRST. Then look into the dampers. You can get just about any damper to work as it will all have to be custom. They will help out if done properly.

i had the same problem with my 99 Tl, it was the passenger side motor mount that connects to the inner fender by the drive belts. it was really easy to fix and the old one was shot. i got mine a napa and it was in stock and only $60

I just purchased two CL-S dampeners and seeing if they will fit on the car.

We'll see when they get here. But definately look into getting the Innovative Mounts..they are great.

The stock ones are CRAP. Look in the CL side. there is a few threads on the dampers. someone replaced the stock ones with aftermarket units. Personally i think they need to be mounted higher up than where the factory has them mounted. Also with the CL units you will need the mount brackets for them.

well I don't care for the vibrations...it put the power to my friend's wheels fine.

If I have problems with it then, I'll contact Innovative or order new ones.

They aren't that bad and they are the first batch of mounts ever made for these cars. Of course there are going to be some expected problems, but they are working on redesigning them. Again, they really aren't that bad. Real solid and get the power down great.

the 6 speed guys dont seem to get the vibrations that bad, the auto guys, especially RUF, have real bad vibrations in the cabin(he made a video), they're working on reformulating the bushings right now

Oh, and the 6 Speeders need the dampers more than the auto guys do.
