I always thought that we had a high flow cat on there to begin with. I know this was talked about quite a while back and most people seemed to agree that the cat on there was not really worth replacing for hp/torque gains. I'll see if I can find the thread on it but it was a long time ago.

personally for myself I didn't buy it for Hp or torque gains, I bought it to have a full stainless exhaust from the engine to the muffler tips

^^^^ me too,I wanted to be able to look down there and see a whole new exhaust set up .......You should at least remove that heat shield then,if u dont want a high flow cat........ I also think my car has a deeper tone.

Yeah, I can definitely see that...and I would probably do the same since I have Comptech all the way except for the cat. I'm just not sure if there are really any gains to be had here.

What does removing the heat shield do? I would love to hear a little deeper tone. The Comptech exhaust is still a little to high pitched for me, I ended up putting the silencers in.

okay, so the cat is on and functioning fine , sorry that I didn't take any pictures as I didn't do the install, however what I can tell you is this... the hi flow cat is about 1/2" shorter than the stock cat (no biggie), the O2 sensor bung is in a different location so extending the wire about 6" is necessary and no CEL (again no biggie), as far as exhaust note I can notice a slightly deeper tone (me like), as far as any gains I doubt it but wasn't expecting any anyway... so far I'm satisfied and will post if there are any problems

Are you going to do a dyno to compare to a dyno of your car just before the RT cat? We all know butt dynos are inaccurate. Thanks for sharing!

How do you go about extending the wire harness? So I assume you were able to pull the b-pipe 1/2" towards the cat with no problem?

TLsu, I didn't do a before dyno so I probably won't do a dyno now... any gains (if any at all) are barely noticeable, but like I said the exhaust note has definately changed.

phipark, when the cat was off the the o2 sensor has wire (actually 4 wires)that are about 12" long and goes to a plug, so after unplugging I had some wire (20 gauge)and cut, extended and sealed them to prevent any moisture from getting in... as far as the b-pipe is concearned yes once the nuts are loosely fastened and start to tighten everything pulls together... I 'll be checking the tightness of the connection frequently for the time being to make sure that they stay tight

mezzerTL-S thanks for testing this mod out. I was interested in another bolt on mod and this one had my interest. Based on your review sounds like I will pass on this one. I really don't want to cut my O2 wiring harness to extend.
