Superchargers

Good day all! I have a 2000 3.2 TL and I'm wanting to buy a supercharger for it ASAP. However I'm wondering what size I should go for, as I don't want to blow my motor or cause any other problems by having too much psi? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I'd look into swapping in a manual transmission before going with a supercharger so that the boost doesn't grenade the automatic tranny.

there's not really a good way to tune the 2nd gen TL...
adding an inefficient heat exhanger (supercharger) will only help blow up the motor.

CompTech stopped making superchargers for these cars a loooong time ago, didn't they? I think I've only seen a few here who have it. It's gonna be tough to get your hands on one, OP.

I have to believe there are generic turbo/charger options for the J32/35. You are likely just going to have a hard time finding one tailored out-of-the-box for the 2G TL like the C/T - which means paying a custom shop to build and tune one for you. $$$$$ vs. $$$

I think the fatal flaw with the 2G/3G TLs (outside of the glass 2G transmissions) are that they are FWD and you can only put so much power into a FWD until you find yourself having to start in 4th/5th gear (imagine 350+ whp on this drivetrain). It's just a really sad limitation of these cars that otherwise could've solidly competed with *every* sport sedan in it's class and era. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with this but that's just my honest opinion.

A mod I'd *love* to see would be for someone to slap a 4G SH/AWD drivetrain into a 2G TL lol!

Or just mod the hell out of a 4G SH/AWD TL with the 6speed manual  add forced induction in those bad boys and drop the weight and they can be mad track monsters lol. IMO those are the only TL's worth going all out on for track use.
The rest are either stuck with FWD or an auto.
