Stupid Question

Please excuse this if it sounds absolutely ridiculous. So today i took out my intake resonator, and YES it does sound sweet. I read that this could fault a code on the car for like a day or something. So at night i noticed my headlights were shinning a little purplish color i got out of the car and checked it out, and my left headlight is shinning a lavender color and the right the correct white-blue color. What could be causing this, could it have anything to do with some code. If not what is it, how can i fix it, and how much will it cost. Thank you in advance.

the intake resonator has nothing to do with this. seems like your HID is starting to go. all you need to do is replace it. do you have a 99-01 TL? i'm not sure but they seem to be one of the earlier cars on the market with HIDs because i see them all the time on the road with one bulb starting to fade

i'm surprised since thats only 5 years old.. but its possible since each driver uses their headlights differently, some drive more at night while some avoid nighttime driving as much as possible. it may be a good idea to swap both out since the newer one will be much brighter than the older one.. and chances are if one is going out the other one shouldn't be too far behind. i paid around $110 per bulb at my local acura dealer. you may be able to get a pair off excelerate but i would wait until morning.. maybe some of the gurus will chime in, in case there is a slight chance you're having a different kind of problem
