You don't need aftermarket struts, many reuse the stock struts but be aware that they will wear out quicker with the new springs. If you're due for struts any time soon, seriously consider changing them out when you do your springs and save yourself a bunch of hassle and $$.

You will be alright with the stock shocks and new springs on them. Like he above has already said, the stock shocks will wear out quicker.. now that you have different springs on them now. The new springs wont affect the shocks function but the shocks will wear out quicker now. That why i just went ahead and did full coilovers because i wanted the best ride possible and something that is gona last me the rest of the time that i have this car.

from experience i will tell you that the stock shocks will provide a more comfortable ride. i had comptech springs with stock shocks when i bought the car at 27k miles (the previous owner put them on but i'm not sure at what mileage) and changed out to tokicos/h&r's around 68k miles and my shocks were still good (but the piston rods were bent due to the previous owner and i'm sure myself since i live in "pothole central")

if you go with tokicos you will still have a nice ride but it will be noticeably stiffer. i may even go back to stock shocks myself within a year or two.

just get some TEIN SUPER STREET Coilovers and your set. You'll be a happy camper.

H&Rs with Tokico Blues or Illuminas, or KYB.

My stock shocks last at least 12K miles with H&R Sport Springs and they are still good until I decide to move to Tein SS coilover. Unless you are short on cash, Tein SS coilover is the best! The ride is much like stock and you can immediate feel the differents when switching to Tein SS.

Some car might need a camber kit with sport drop, most don't. I didn't need a camber kit since the angle is barely within the spec and the toe is perfect.

If you are on a budget and want the car to be dropped, install them. If you have extra money, get some struts and install them at the same time. Saves you labor money for the future. all you need is get an alignment about 2 weeks after the install. You'll be okay.

You will need camber kits for the front and rear an adjustable ball jointIfront) and tie rod fot eh rear. Your camber and toe-in and toe-oout will be totataly fucked so drive only tothe alignment shop to get and alignment so you wear your tires out. luckly I got to do my own alignment.
