i tried the search button lol i didnt notice anything but the tls nor the tl is a true dual its a 3-1-2 with a y pipe and like i said im lookn for some power along with sound and if im not mistaken if u have a straight single exhaust u get more flow and less chance of an exhaust leak and there fore make more power correct

You can get just as much flow out of a system like we have as opposed to a single. We arent some big FI motor. I made a ton of upper end power with the twin pipe from the cat setup i have. It will flow much more than a single. Also remember you go to big you hurt performance.
Single exhaust looks cheap.

i had a single on my 99 . i had the comptech headers and 2 n 3/4 all the way back to an apexi ni sounded amazing especially with the nitrous on and it saved me over 20 pounds . i say go for it but make sure it comes out on the right .shorter pipe route and give it that little bit of angla ,like an evo or supra .and pay for quality piping no crush piping pls !!!

its better for your engine providing the best mixing of exahust gasses, and back pressure to each cylinder, plus the weight savings factor its an all around performance win, a y pipe that can be seen from under your bumper is gay anyway

I asked the same thing. Single exhaust should be better for performance, and if you run a OEM lip you cant see exhaust cut outs so it wont matter. The more exhaust velocity with the least amount of back pressure is what you want, and this 2.5 inch dual exhaust crap is getting old. 2.25 cat, and matching single exhaust should yield best overall performance until someone shows me proof otherwise. Why do you think so many G35/350Z guys switch to single? Acura used dual to quiet down the car, plain and simple....same reason a 4cyl TSX uses dual. Do you really think a k24 needs that crap? Blah. Leave 2.5 for a dual cam motor that revs to 8200 and relays fully on top end HP like a B18c. Angle that shit and it will look sick.

This thread tickles my fancy, I know I've seen people post how one exhaust on the 2g looks ugly (which I agree with).
The part that you can get gains through one pipe is very interesting and I'm interested in seeing some dyno results.
