I used to use Royal Purple, but I switched once I found out how mediocre it is. I switched to Castrol Syntec 0-30w after I heard about the good things the guys at Bob The Oil Guy's Forum were saying and so far after 1200miles...My car is doing just as fine, but I like that German Castrol has actual research done to it by 3rd parties(BTOG Forum members) and it's a level 4 synthetic meaning it's a higher percentage of synthetics and cleaners than say RP. That's just my view though. Either way changing the oil regularly is good so just do it!

Why when there are cheaper and better oils out there.

And at the never had issues posts. You would most likely never have issues with the cheapest discount oil out there.

I'll be sure to keep your opinion in mind next time I'm looking for a high quality synthetic. Or not.

The new Pennzoil is supposed to be really good, Amsoil is great oil.

I use RP and I've always loved it.. I Change it every 5K, with a new K&N oil filter.

But that is what I like, use whatever brand you want.. Just stay with a good synthetic!

Amsoil SSO, Amsoil HP, Pennzoil Ultra, Pennzoil Platinum, Castrol Syntec, Mobile 1 EP, Quaker State Syn, Royal Purple are all good synthetics. I'd put them in this order as far as superiority. Amsoil Ea, K&N, Mobile 1 EP, Puralator, Fram ExtraGuard, NAPA Gold are all good filters. Same thing as far as superiority. This is my opinion, but I have done my fair share of research including on BITOG's site.
