Royal Purple anyone?
I was wondering if anyone has tried royal puple oils in their 2g TL-P?
Is it any good? What weight did you use, what is reccomended?
How about RP tranny fluid.. Good idea or should I just leave the tranny alone?
I am only 17 and the TL only has 55k... Still a little scared about tranny related issues.

RP is overrated. Only use what the car recommends for weight.

Just about any synthetic is good. I prefer Amsoil over anything really, but it's expensive especially their SSO which is over $11 a quart plus shipping. Overpriced= YES. Great product= YES. I don't mind paying $65.00 for an Amsoil oil change every 10-15k. Got over 200k on my car now and it runs mint.

That makes no sense. In that case Amsoil must be the best oil on earth as it's by far the highest priced. SSO is over $11.00 a quart. I do believe it is the best oil you can buy, but price doesn't always mean you're getting the best.

Ill stick with Amsoil and M1 Extended Performance(which the M1 worked very well in the first motor in the TL)

ROYAL PURPLE FTW!!! If you go to PepBoys.. they usually have a $50 deal for 5 quarts of Royal Purple and an RP oil filter. I buy that & 1qt Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer..
1qt lucas + 3.5qt royal purple = a verrrrry happy car.

Hmmm $50 vs $29 for M1 or PP with filter for a better oil. I take the later.

0w-20 Amsoil w/ Amsoil filter. Oil and filter are good for 25k miles on normal driving or 15k for severe driving. I change mine once a year or 15k miles. Ends up being cheaper in the long run than buying lower quality oil.
