How hard is it to install a spoiler? I suck at this stuff and don't have a drill, just a couple of screwdrivers and a hammer

They were reputable right?

How long did it take for you to get their package?

Did the color of the spoiler match your car?

its very easy but you will need to borrow or buy your self a drill. The spots to drill are already marked on the car (outer porsion of underside of trunklid, you will seee 4 small bumps , 2 each side)

I got the one from ebay too and I must say, it is pretty darn good for what I paid for it($175 shipped/painted -SSM) . Paint matches perfectly which I think silver is the hardest color to match. I recieved mine in 3days, order on Mon, got it on thursday.

What about the LED light? Am I to assume we A: Already have an unused spot for the plug for the spoiler, or B: You are sent a "splitter" of sorts that will run one wire to the brake lights, and the other to the spoiler?

EDIT: This is with regards to the ease of installation. I know it's easy, but I'm curious as to what makes the LED light integration easy.

You unplug the wire going to the high mounted stop light and connect it to the wire coming from the spoiler.

I bought a "lip" spoiler on Ebay today, I thought they looked better than the elevated ones, the only thing that's weird is that apparently you just tape it on the car (all the places selling lip models said same thing), I just hope the damn tape holds firm

lip spoilers use an adhesive to hold it the trunk lid? I never knew that. I wanted one but now I don't know. I have also heard very good things about that 165.00 spoiler on ebay. I have not heard one bad thing actually. They seem to do good work and are very reputable.

Yeah I thought that was weird but the ones that I saw on Ebay said the same thing, I ended up cancelling the order and going for a wing one instead, I decided the lip one was just too subtle to justify spending 200 bucks with shipping

That's the thing about Ebay there are so many sellers all claiming theirs is the best quality it's hard to know what you are buying, I ended up going with a company from New York, the wing spoiler was 159.99 painted and they claim to
"supply and install spoilers for over 100 new and used car dealerships as well as supply a large dealership association," so who knows

Is the 99-01 spoiler the same as the 02-03 spoiler? Would a 99-01 spoiler fit on a 02? Thanks

When you folks install the spoiler, did you also install the stronger trunk springs? Wouldn't it be too heavy if we keep the original weak one?

I bought the OEM spoiler from R a y L a k A c u r a and it came painted and with the new trunk springs. I installed the new springs on the same notch the OEM springs were on. When I open the trunk, it pops up the same amount as before I installed the spoiler.

how much was the spoiler from ray lacks????

id rather pay more and make sure the color is matched. i have a MBP TL and i think my color would be hard to match, unless they are using the exact color codes.

There's no guarantee Tim will have it either Remember that buying the OEM spoiler includes the new trunk lid torsion bars. Also, if Tim doesn't have it, they can paint it for you, but it will take more time. Give Tim a call or send him an email. The number and email address are at the web site.
