hey guys im not sure if this is the section for this but this was my idea and i didnt know how it would work

i was thinking of doing a avic d3 in the regular din spot ( doing the 2 din mod from a single)

now for the fun part
i wanted to get the nav parts off the nav conversion but just wanted the to use the front bezel and where the normal nav screen goes just put in like a 6.5 or a 7 inch screen

i guess my main quesiton is with out the nav screen interface is can i use the ac control in the spot of the cd holder/pen receipt holder peice. and have the ac still work.

 

It would require significant dash surgery to be able to use the navi bezel and the non-navi ac controls. Someone on the board kinda did what you're talking about. Do a search.
