question about mugen thermostat

i bought the thermostat for my tl but my mechanic said it's not the right one. he measured it in front of me and it's noticeably bigger than the stock one the part number for the one i got is 19301-XGMR-0000. i searched the forums and it matches what others have said. anyone that has done this mod wanna help me out?

thanks in advance

I don't know, it matches what I found as well . . . what year is your TL?

THERMOSTAT 19301-XGMR-0000 $69.00 $80.00
FAN SWITCH 37760-XK5-00N0 $45.00 $49.00
RADIATOR CAP 19045-XGER-0000 $29.00 $32.00

nevermind just looked at the diy, you're supposed to reuse the stock gasket on the mugen. its just the gasket that is bigger. thanks though

it works with the fan switch and radiator cap, supposed to cool down your car. the thermostat opens up at a lower temp than the stock one. I think its pointless but i bought it awhile ago, seemed like a good idea at the time.
