Pulsar spark plugs?

Pulsar spark plugs?
so these new plugs are supposed to increase HP and torque by lik 7 % or something crazy like that. They run 25 bucks a piece but i just dont see how sparkplugs can give you that much added power? is this too good to be true or do they really work?

yeah it's supposed to ignite hotter than a bag of cheetos.
i read somewhere a while back that these things ignite so hot it was actually burning through coils and pistons and walls and whatnot. might not be as bad as i make it sound. i'll see if i can look up the article

quotes pulled from several websites
Just tested a set of these in a '06 350Z roadster with just 1200 miles on the engine and the Pulstar plugs made 13whp over the stock plugs. I was personally pretty skeptical when this company asked for me to test and review their product for Modified Mag, but after putting them to the test on a Dyna Pack dyno and doing multiple runs to verify the results, I can confidently say these plugs make big power on the VQ. I'll definitely be putting a set in my G35, my EG road race/time attack car, and even my van tow vehicle. Cheapest and easiest horsepower I've ever found.
Just read an article in Dsport magazine about Pulstar Pulse spark plugs (they have built in capacitors). According to the article the magazine tested the DG-1 Pulse plugs and they gave a 5.2 whp increase on a 6mt G35 (the G35 had NGK Laser Platinums to start). They also gave 2.4 to a Honda B18 and 5.7 to a Mitsubishi 4G63. Pretty good results just from changing spark plugs. They are about $25 each or three times the price of regular spark plugs, but to get more hp it might be worth it.
I first heard of these plugs from a guy at work. He was going on how great they were in his truck. I did my research and bought a set. Put them in last weekend and WOW! They woke up all my modes and I could feel the difference. From 2000 - 4000 RPM the car is more awake with lots of responce. I was very impressed! The care seems to shift smoother and just be more awake.
Pulstar plug run 2 show's 313 RWHP for a 6 hp gain, all conditions being equal except the 4 derees of timing retard was not as drastic until at the peak of the pull. We did pull 3 w/out changing anything and had 6 degrees timing pulled due to knock & had 309.95 RWHP, so we are making the assumption that the plugs do work, but on a high compression motor such as the LS1-6-2-3 we are seeing detonation due to the improved burn & flame-front. I will go one further and assume that on a lower CR engine, such as most passenger cars & trucks we would see the claimed improvement. We do intend to continue at a latter date on some late model SUV's.
actually after browing the intarweb i cant seem to find anything bad about it. it seems pretty neat stuff so i'll keep reading and keeping my eyes out

we have a few ziners testing them out- while one member did get an immediate 1mpg increase, he had 80k miles on the old plugs
New NGK Iridium will get that compared to the stock ngk at that miles
Iridium IX for gen2, Iridium (plain) gen3
Basically we have such an advanced ignition type with coil on plug, versus the cap and wires setup they tested on, of couse those type cars will see greater gains than us

did you reset the ECU when you installed the PulsePlugs?
That must be done so the car can learn the new part and how it works different than before- wont work right until then according to ziners who didnt
Pull the CLOCK fuse-#13 on passenger foot area or side of dash, for a minute- then put it back in
Or, if its time to clean the battery cables- removing the neg cable will force a reset too
With the fuse method you dont need to reset the radio security code

I could've sworn I posted this yesterday but oh well. There've been a couple people with 7th gen accords that have done this mod and have seen decent hp gains as well as mpg. However that's in conjunction with Okada ignition coils but I dont know if they make those for the TL's.
Even when pairing the Pulsar's with the Okada coils that's still around $800 spent to gain a lil hp and a lil more mpg, so not worth it IMO.

rajca only drives downhill, on long cruise control freeway drives,at night, to get the high miles~ him and rob2
It will take a few days to a week for the car to relearn everything for the ECU
Go drive it!
A light flywheel may cause a dip in mileage,,, as you have fun with the throttle

All the gas in the usa contains 10% ethanol by federal law
A very few places/brand may still have the old gas style with mtbe added in- but that stuff is really bad for the Earth,
So its being phased out and all you will find anywhere is 10% ethanol 90% gasoline
Another reason to use engine cleaners
