Dont know of a DIY but its not hard. Remove the plastic engine cover, loosen the tensioner bolt for the PS pump (there is a notch for you can see with the cover on) then remove the line going to it (have a plastic baggy to slip over teh end and rags handy, dont want the fluid dripping every where) then remove the other line and keep up and out of the way. then remove the bolts that hold it on. One is under neath it that is harder to get to but not impossible

I just finished my Timing belt, water pump, and like others overtighted the power steering belt. The car is a 2000 Acura TL. Where do I buy a power steering pump ? Looks like Cardone makes a remanufactued pump any good ? Looks like you need to transfer the steel inlet line on the input side of the pump. Does it come off the old pump ? Should I go for new and where to I buy a new pump? Looks like the Cardone pump is just over $200. What the new pump go for ? Go to the dealer or does someone else the pump ?

Thanks

check some of the local auto parts stores. There is nothing wrong with remans, they replace the bearings and things that are worn out. You can actually buy the parts yourself and do it pretty easy. for about 20 bucks. All you really need are the bearings and a seal

Fsttyms1, which parts do you recommend replacing in order to rebuild the pump?

Items 14,15,17 from here?
