porting/polishing new intake?
I'm attempting to pick up a intake mani from a local guy here in Charleston SC, its off the CL-s so still a j32a2 intake. i plan to pick this mani up and hold out on installing until i buy the thermo spacers and a few small things, but i was wondering if anyone has done any machining to these intakes and seen results?

Yeah i guess the next step is to find a good machinist to do the job, and to get the schmuck to commit to selling this thing. he put it on craigslist and then is impossible to get an actual deal out of. >:0

I picked up a type s intake that I want to port. You mentioned increasing the size of the runners. Can you advise on the best method to do so?

I have never done anything like this before. For a first effort I want to do a minor port and polish on a 2001 Type S manifold. I want to clean up the castings and smooth out the all the openings. I have the manifold off and am going to Harbor Freight for a dremel. Any suggestions?
