Yes, the 09+tl intake. You will need an adapter for the TB to bolt up to it, but they are available. Then just port match your lower runners to the upper manifold.

now are these parts that i can get from napa such as the adapter? im sure i can get the intake manifold... what are the hp gains from this? and my tbs will still fit?

More than a cold air intake (which you should run as well. Most saw the best gains from a 4") You could use your tl-p tb, but you would be better off running the type-s tb, or even better the BLOX 76mm tb.

I also recommend using the search button on this. You will find and get answers much faster

Get the 09 tl intake manifold it will gain about 10 hp more than that manifold. it gained about 4 over a type s intake manifold that was ported and polished and had p2r plenums on it.[/QUOTE]
well i work at a service station so i can get the intake manifold probably at a decent price, its the adapter stuff that im weary about, im an attendant not a mechanic so i will be having a mechanic do it for me. so i probably need to be specific so he is comfortable doing it. so i need a throttle body adapter? or what? i just want to make sure i have everything i need if im going to do this. now that i have my tranny paid off that i had to put in last winter
i have money to spend. not a ton of money tho haha. thanks for the help

Do you have headers? If not do that will gain you the most power for the money. P2R makes an adapter but I couldn't get it to work on my car and after trying for hours I finally gave up on it. Others were able to get it to work though

Post number 16. You also will need the intake manifold to lower intake manifold bolts and studs because te tl-p are shorter. You need 7, 95701-08065-08 and 2, 92900-080601B. Yes you need the throttle body adapter.

I just but my 09 manifold on last week and left the butterfly valve open I don't feel any loss of torque but I imagine if i had the butterfly functioning correctly it would give me more torque down low.

I have my stock Type-S intake manifold set up now, thinking of doing the 09 mani swap. whats the deal with the butterfly valve? Can it be kept functional? Also is there any difference in the 09 base TL and the SH-AWD mani? Is it also bolt on if it is different?
This will probably be my next mod after I put my DC's on.
Also Stephen00TL do you have a write up on your 4" CAI?
