Yeah, this DIY is a B**CH! I did the front 2 doors and gave up for like 2 weeks. This thing was a mission. Not looking forward to check the ones that went out either.

ok so im crazy cuz i just went outside took out all the door panels to get ready for this install tomorrow and i just couldnt wait to i took out 1 of the door handles (p/s rear) and i took it inside to clean it up for the leds so the double sided tape sticks to it. basically i took off the door panel, peeled back the plastic on the door and i had to take out the door lock actuator to get to one of the 10mm bolts that holds the door handle on, theres 2 10mm bolts. its a piece of cake the only problem i had was it was dark.

so u dont need to drill a thing. as u can see in the pic theres a hole on the top part of the handle that the wires slip right into.

i ran the wires right through the handle and made sure they werent pinched and didnt rub on the handle

this is the back of the handle where the wires come in. having the handle out for the first one made it really easy because you get to double and tripple check that the wires dont rub and dont get pinched on anything.

i mounted the led panel all the way at the top of the handle so when you go to open the door you dont feel it.

i connected it to a 12v battery i had from my makita drill and this is the final product.

ill be posting more pics tomorrow of how i ran the wires through the door and how i wire it to the dome light so when you unlock the car the led door handles turn on with it.

i didnt have to but i wanted to so i could take good pics of the actual door handle with the leds mounted and the wires ran through the handle so that when you guys do it on ur own cars u can just do it with the door handle on the car. thats how i paln on doing the other 3 today.

Listing on eBay doesn't truly represent what you got.

No offense...but your lighting isn't as "soft" as they advertise, I hate when companies do that...

Or is it just that pic?

VS.

if you look at the handle out of the car you can see how easy it is to stick the wires through. NO DRILLING. so the way i did the other 3 today i pulled the handle up and put the 2 wires through and pulled it from the back. then i put the led panel in the handle mounted and all and then pulled the excess wire so it was nice and tight inside the door, not too tight where the wire would rip from the leds though. ill be posting up more pics later today. i still gotta wire it to the dome light now. i just stopped to get a schematic.

ok so my bad i didnt post this sooner but ive just been really busy...

so basically to run the wires from the back 2 doors inside the car you gotta remove the front door sill and the rear door sill and then remove the bottom b-pillar cover. once you do that you have to take out the seatbelt retractor. its 1 10mm bolt on top and 1 14mm bolt on the bottom as you can see in the pic.

once you do that colse the rear door and open the front and pull out the rubber grommet on the door and on the b-pillar. the way i ran the wires was i used a piece of wire and put it through the b-pillar to go inside the car. then i took the other end of that wire and i ran it through the grommet to go inside the rear door.

once you do that just tape the 2 wires from the led to the 1 wire u ran through the grommet and carefully pull it through.the first pic is up in the b-pillar where the wire will be coming in.

once you have the wires in the car from the back move on to the front doors. for me they were impossible so what i did was i taped up the wire and poked a hole through the grommet and ran my wires into the door and the other side of the wire into the car and i pulled the wire in like i did in the back.

i ran my wires right along the side and wired the front p/s to the rear p/s and then wired it to the dome light. and i did the same for the driver side. i didnt take any pics of the wires i tapped into for the dome light but its a white with blue striped wire (+) and a black wire (-) that go to the passenger side fuse box. i just tapped into that wire and hooked up the lights from the passenger side. i got lazy and just ran the power and ground wires from the driver side to the passenger side. i had to cahnge the #11 fuse on p/s fuse box from a 7.5 amp to a 10 amp.
this it the outcome

hope this is helpful for you guys. pm me if you need more help with this.

Do not forget to tape the wire thats in the door to the lining of the door so its out of the way of the window regulators!!!!!!!!!! It happened to me on 1 side and ripped the wire at the resistor.

There is a good DIY on removing the door panel in the DIY thread. After that its just hooking up 2 wires. Pretty darn simple.
