paint?
omg, please dont let econo or maaco paint your car.
if anything dude, vinyl wrap your car for $600, if your paint is that bad and you cant afford a nice professional job, then just get it wrapped....gl
btw to change the color is about double the price as keeping the stock color paint

its all about the prep work in finishing dings and leaving a clean open surface for the paint to adhere to
bigname wont be doing the quality you want with,,,and several coats of paint
they throw an acid wash on it - wipe it off and go to paint!
you can save big doing the prep sanding yourself

Agreed with above... Wrap if you cant afford paint. Maaco will only turn out good if you pay them for a good job (after all they do paint EVERY SINGLE DAY) but with all their "ambassador special" BS commercials not only does the paint not adhere well because of piss poor prep work, but that is not doing any kind of body work and their masking work is shittier than I can describe. My buddies car had paint on tail lights, headlights, window trim, overspray on wheels etc. Complete garbage work.
Only thing in regards to 01tl4tl is yes it does save money but there have been autobody shops ive asked this about and some said they will not warranty a paint job if customer did the prep work...
Just something to thing about
