I was wondering what a good paint was to use on the calipers. I've used rustoleum from home depot on my grill (made with the diy) and it looks nice, however I think that it chips away because its a prime spot for rock chips to fly at it.

Also what is powdercoating? I see it for a lot of covers in the engine.

The previous owner has painted the front two, but not the rear two. If someone could give me a pic of all the calipers painted that would be sweet.

 

G2 caliper paint, duplicolor Metalcast, and high heat paint. The key to any paint job is in the prep. It has to be CLEAN... and if needed sanded well as well as primed

 

Sand, clean with alcohol, primer, and then a few coats of paint? Where can I look for those few brands, pepboys good?

 

I would degrease/wash first with brake cleaner or some dawn. If the surface has any loose or flaky material on it sand, if not just get a 3m scuff pad and scuff the surface. Get a heat primer and spray a few LIGHT coats of primer on them. then paint. Most parts stores carry the paint. The G2 caliper paint you can order online every where. Google it.
