The oem lip kit is one of the most difficult things to find for our TLs...unfortunately
I believe the color name for your car is Anthracite Metallic

here's the picture thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-photograph-gallery-99/am-picture-thread-602329/

Rbsurfer I wish that damn site shipped to Canada. I'm so sick of finding things I need and not being able to buy them, because they only ship to the US.

03TL thanks for posting a link to that other site, that one appears to be based in Canada, most likely quebec, since its FAQ is in french. Good thing I can read it. I'm worried that their fiberglass replica kits won't hold up in my Edmonton winters though.
It's not a bad price, but it is unpainted; however, it's quite difficult to find a lip kit in EBP, since ABP is more popular in the states.

Can someone with the lip kit clarify what kind of material it's made from...is it urethane?

yes oem lip kits are made from poly ureothane (or how ever you spell it) and replicas are most likely made of fiberglass which also means that they have a larger chance cracking

Hey there I also live in Canada and I got my lip kit from Acura of Peoria in the States. I paid $950 in total for a brand new WDP lip kit shipped to my door. They paid 1/2 of my shipping ($70 value). Just go to google and search for their dealership, get their email and contact Lance, who is the parts manager.

iforyou, I already spoke with Acura of Peoria and they only had 1 lip kit left in ABP about 4 months ago. At the time I did not have the cash for it, and did not want to buy an ABP colored kit only to have to repaint it EBP.

03TL_typeS, I think it's because you are a new member, that's why you can't view profiles of other people. Just make more posts and eventually you can view them. As for the avatar, click "Your Accounts" near the top of the screen, then under "Settings and Options," click "Edit Avatar," from there you can add an avatar.

I guess I was lucky..lol...if Acura of Peoria doesn't have any left anymore, then the only other place I know is acuraoemparts.com. But I have no idea if they will ship to Canada or not.

Get 30 posts and you can. Look in the picture thread. there are all the color cars. Many members have kits and pics of their rides there.

Believe me, even though it was a different color, if I had had the money at the time I certainly would've bought it.
Unfortunately I hadn't paid my car off since I had only bought it in May; however, it was all paid for in August.
I'm still thinking about hunting down a lip kit, but I think with a nice drop and some sexy rims my car will still look fantastic.

fsttyms1 I would like your opinion on these lip kits being sold here in Canada:
http://www.lips-kit.com/product_info...e7db42cb74fd68

Do you think that "flex" fiberglass will hold up well in my colder winters? I did email someone at the site, but I figured an unbiased opinion would be great to have.

$1500 isn't that bad considered it's in Canada, brand new, and installed.

As you already know, I bought mine for $950 USD in May, that's when USD is about the same as CDN. There was also a discount back then.

But now, $1500 CDN is like $1300 USD. Then add installation, that's about $100-$200 (labour is $90/hr at my local Acura dealership).

So really, I think $1500 isn't that bad. The prices you have been reading here are in USD, so I think that's why you feel $1500 is expensive.

Why don't you ask them how much it would be if you install it instead?

iforyou this place (acuraoemparts.com) that you mentioned has all the pieces
to make a complete kit oem made in 8 factory matched colors, and the best part is...
THEY SHIP TO CANADA! Wooo! You can get a complete kit for just under $1000 USD shipped.

If this isn't too good to be true I will definitely order one of these kits as soon as I can

Okay, I have an update with bad news for any Canadian owners looking to buy an oem kit from that acuraoemparts.com site.
I emailed their parts manager last night asking for a true shipping quote to Canada and I received a response saying,
"we no longer ship to Canada because of bad credit cards." << WTF is that? Bad credit cards?!
Bastards are full of it. My heart sank this morning when I read that, because on their site they still allow you to pick your country and what not for shipping.
I was so excited too...knowing them, they probably wouldn't take any other means of payment....and that was my last real hope at buying a color matched oem kit

So are they saying Canadian credit cards are bad, but not the US ones ? It is really the US that is having the most trouble with liquidity and credits.

I emailed them back demanding an explanation for their reason and I said EXACTLY what you just stated. I'm thinking....oh right, it's us Canadians that are having the major credit problems here. I told them that I can offer any other form of payment they want. I don't care, this is actually my ONLY option in acquiring an oem lip kit.

email this dude
Tim Poliniak Hondacuraworld@aol.com
Internet Parts Manager
www.hondacuraworld.com
www.mitsuaccessories.com

"Hello Peter,

Price is 334.60 shipping included in the continental US/3.95 handling charge per order. Please call us at 1-888-RAY-LAKS to order."

imo, that is a cheap deal for oem shipped. Oh thats for the front lip. But I found one locally for 200 and got the sides/rear off a wrecked one for 180, so I got my whole kit for 380 used. Now from what I read on the previous treads, do not buy aftermarket sides, the oem ones. Because some dude from here bought it and there are no mounts on the skirts, so there are no way to attach the brackets. Just an fyi.

If you guys are going to buy replicas ask the seller if the side skirts have brackets on them to attach to the body of the car. Mine were replica molds and the seller didnt make the brackets...had to create my own, not that hard but why go through the trouble if you can get the real deal.

full replica lip kit acura tl 1999-2003

i got my replica lip kit from a place called

www.dynamicautodesigns.com

the kit fit fine, had to use screws to do the install
i know some guys don't mind paying for original kit but i think this kits is a bargain, if you hit your front lip original or not it will get damaged and at $110to replace the front lip which usually gets hit it's no big loss...

pricing on the site
full kit 325.
front lip -110.
rear lip 110.
sides 160.
