I think the foglights could be an issue also.

For a Type S, go with the Injen brand

yes, Injen is great, i love mine, sounds great, and get the hydro shield too, even though its designed to keep water out, it does a great job keeping your intake clean aswell. but nothing will protect you from full submerging of water

depends, but for me i like the injen because its not to loud, just right, u can't tell u have it until the vtec kicks in and then it roars , the icebox is just quite, looks stock and plain, so compare and see what u like most

why have I never heard of this hydro shield before? How does it look? Is it similar to the AEM bypass valve? Someone shed some more light on this and show pics please.

it's just their personal preference. AEM is a good brand but has problems with the mounting bracket. Comptech might be a little quiet for others. Just preference.

AEM and Injen cold air intakes will have a deep growl, esp at VTEC. Comptech will be more subtle and clean looking and makes 1-2 extra whp over the other systems.

It's a nylon screen that covers the filter. It's treated with silicone so if water splashes on it, the water just beads. As mentioned, it does keep a lot of junk off the filter media so it acts like a pre-filter. I've got the K&N version on my S&B filter; it works nicely.

Check it out: Injen Hydroshield

aem makes a solid cai and the sound at v-tec is addictive. very good cai, you can't go wrong with aem, injen, comptech and I bet fujita is a good brand too. I have seen them and they are well made.
