Headers, intake, lower, wheels. Best things you can do to these cars on a budget. Then check the DIY section for mods you can do yourself for cheap.

For performance, get yourself headers and CAI. However, if you don't know the maintenance history of the car; do all of the maintenance first: engine oil, transmission fluid change, all of the filters, coolant, spark plugs, power steering fluid, brake fluid, belts (timing belt if not sure when it was last done). This should keep you busy.

Maintenance before mods. Otherwise you are Brian Spillner.

Welcome to the site, Weav !!!!

Plenty of good ideas on stuff for both appearance and performance are here right at your very fingertips ! Start a wish list.

But as AZsilverTl previously cautioned and most will fully agree, all this stuff is only just that....unless you completely check and repair any weak mechanical components first.

Oftentimes, now that these cars are over 10 years old and well beyond 100k on the dial....they are in need of some serious work. Things like the T-belt, tranny, suspension and other wear items may require attention before starting the modding process.

So don't start throwing money at something until it's proven reliable !!!
