New to this...

Hello, I'm new to the whole performance mods thing (and the forum) and am looking for some opinions of those wiser. I have already read that headers and intakes are a good/somewhat cheap place to start, but my 2000 Acura TL is coming up on 86,000 miles (Tranny never died). Probably not much for a car of its age, but I wanted to know if there is a point to buying after market parts or if the car would need a complete renovation before these parts even make sense.

Thanks

Cool. Do you feel headers and a cool air intake are good ideas for starters?

Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Pulleys

those are usually some good starting points, followed by a nice drop with some springs or coilovers

Thanks, it looks like they're cheaper on e-bay. Is there a particular kind to look for? Most people I've seen on this forum debate which is better and usually end up at they're all the same.

Ebay is ok for intakes, just change the filter to a better one.

but Ebay headers, you may have fitment issues and resonance.
