Need help deciding on next performance mod

Hi guys,

My 99 has I/H/P/S, grounding kit and I am stuck on what mod to do next. I would like to get some power out of it though. Here is what I was thinking and please add your suggestions as well.

1. axleback setup w/new exhaust resonantor(no power gain, but nice sound and looks).
2. Hyper voltage system(I am not sure if there are true power gains to be had here, but wanted some opinions and had one questions) I don't have O ring terminals I stripped all the wires and insert and tighten them with an allen wrench, can I strip HVS wires and insert in the same holes I have current wires in also?
3. find a used unichip for 200-300(not really my mug of beer)
4. neuspeed upper strut bar(not sure how hard this would be to install, but have heard great things about it controlling body roll)

any other thoughts and estimated prices would be great.

Thanks!

I would have gotten a higher quality CAI to being with...

But either go exhaust or sway bars.

yeah maybe a nicer CAI, but I got a K&N filter for the one I bought so now there really is no difference between what I have and what AEM or Injen can offer me(at least not much, no power difference at all). Exhaust is what I am leaning towards for the sound. Aren't sways expensive to install? and I don't want to buy both front and rear sways and get them installed(that's too expensive right now at least). What about the upper strut bar? or can I get a noticeable difference in handling from one new sway(how much is average install cost for a new sway bar?

Time to drop the car! but since you like to get more power, get the exhaust.

My local shop did the install of both front and rear sways for $100. I didnot feel much different much when install the sways but I'm not driving agrressive in the conner enough to notice and I'm already lower the car.

I am not going to drop my car unfortunately ever. Maine roads suck bad. I am leaning towards an exhaust for the looks and sound and maybe a few ponies. I have heard a few here that have custom magnaflow catbacks and paid around 300.00 for everything plus installation. I want to see who has gone the custom catback route and where they got good deals from? If I get an exhaust I would honestly rather have a catback than an axleback because at least there are a few ponies to be gained from a catback.

I wish, but don't have the cash. I gotta change timing belt and water pump and probably have my driverside front wheel bearing replaced too. Exhaust is growing on me now. I want sound more than power because a catback isn't going to net me much if any, but if I can find a good catback setup for 300.00 I'de bu it. How would magnaflow mufflers and 18" resonator sound? too loud?

Go exhaust. Don't bother with sways and strut bars if you don't get a drop...you need a drop to fully take advantage of the sway and strut bars. I'm pretty sure that is correct info...guys refute if I'm off base

Go custom Magnaflow setup with maganflow 18inch resonator, magnaflow Y-Pipe, magnaflow mufflers and 2.5in custom catback piping from the muffler shop that installs your exhaust. Paint all your piping with high temp bbq paint when the job is done to garuntee no rust.

I've always found it's purposive to do things in an order that makes sense to use each addition to it's fullest. For instance if you have horrible tires on your car don't boost the HP with a supercharger so that you just sit and smoke your tires. So as mentioned I would improve handling, an all around upgrade that is noticed daily and when you drive more intense. Next would be wheels (or at least make sure a good set of tires on the stock wheels) or exhaust. Then the power upgrades.

What does "purposive" mean?

I got a quote to replace my timing belt and water pump from my mechanic today for 492.00 total and 172.00 total to replace front drivers side wheel bearing. those seemed like pretty damn good prices so I will get that done as well as a full alignment and oil change soon. after that I am now thinking 350.00 for an exhaust. anyone here think 350.00 for a catback including install is far too low to expect?

if you look at the intake manafold, it is not a type s - that is either a '99TL or a 3.0 Accord V6

I have decided to get an icebox instead of exhaust and just remove my exhaust resonator for more sound. I have a generic CAI now and bought a K&N filter for it but haven't opened it so I will just return the filter and keep the CAI I bought as a space or soemthing. I sounds great and has given a good gain, but doesn't mount properly and I don't want to keep a kerry rigged CAI on my car. BTW an AV6 SC will fit a 99 TL.

What's wrong with surfing AZ when your intoxicated? LOL. Other intake I bought I bought because I thought I could get away with buying a cheap oine and just replacing the filter w/K&N. If it mounted properyl I would keep it because the materials aren't that bad at all, it just doesn't mount properly no matter what I was to do. I am going to keep it on there until I find a good used icebox. I should have just waited and got the icebox now that I think about it, but oh well.
