Navigation

Thinking on buying oem navigation off ebay.How advanced are the oem system?.I know it does not have voice activation but can you ask for lodging,resturants,acura dealers etc.Any info on this would be appreciated.Thanks

while the larger size of the oe screen is nicer than portable units, the actual functions and accuracy and current info---- get a portable. Those can be updated online- sweet

Th oe deck has a year and model specific DVD that holds the info- you need a new one every few years, or at least the newest when you buy an old unit- or your house may not be on it!
they are $200, with last years on sale for 150- see acura.com website for them

More importantly are you aware that installation is certainly not a simple plug and play operation?

After reading the options are not there for $1.000-1.500.Thanks for all the info..

Or if you want it built into the car, look into a double din system with Navi. Pioneer Avic D3 is nice.
