So as some know - Im planning a CL seat swap into my 2000 TLP. YEAH!
Also known - Im going to do a sweet DIY on the whole thing in hopes others can relish in my glory of Super Seatness and love their TLs all the more.

Sadly - I have some bad news to share. A rightly lame start to a really cool thing...

Technically I haven't started actually swapping yet and wont be for a while longer now... I thought I bought a set of mint condition 2002 CL front seats....

What arrived today (friday of all happy days to ruin) was a pair of FedEx molested, damaged, broken pretty well unusable 02 CL seats. And FedEx packed them!!! F*ck me! The a$$holes had the smarts to put the headrests in the boxes with the long jagged metal legs, FREE FLOATING - no packing on them! The headrests cut the leather up, and scuffed it all over. To top it, and not to mention the broken/cracked side plastics - both seats support mount feet (where they attach to the car) are bent... Im so pissed!

They never placed the proper insurance on them either, claimed to be requested by the seller... The most I'll get back is $200

Lesson to be learned - don't ship seats. Or if your going to, be sure to pack them, or have them packed stupid good!

I may mod these anyway, just to do it. As I think I could trash my existing TLP seats and rob the support rails and bottom plastics - seeing they look the same. Pain in my ass, but what can I do? The drivers seat's leather is far less damaged than the passenger and is mostly in better shape then my current torn drivers seat. But really - Im shopping again...had to find these... and harder to find em in perfect shape

Since Im in between jobs - it'll be something to do at least...

So yeah - thats the current 411. I'll keep things posted as I go once I get going.

Skip in the TLS!!! The CL seats are soooooo comfy! OMG!
I keep walking over to the pile of wreckage in my living room and sitting in it...hah - sooo nice! Makes me cry...

Im gonna do this DIY and you can just follow along when its time. Your ass - and back, mind you - will thank you every time you get in! Specially on those long trips.

Our TLP seats are great for travel. The CLS add the edge of sport to the super comfy travel. I promise you'll be glad you chose the CLs over the TLS

that would be a nice swap but i think it will be to much work cause i think you will have to switch the rails right cause i think the cl is longer

Yeah - guy came today (after 4 days of run-arounds) to inspect the damages. He was like "yeah - they broke 'em" -- hah....

Said they'll have an idea of what's next tomorrow. They better f*cken pay on them!!! grrrrrrrr

This goes back5 years already!!!! both seats were $700 w. heated pads, and real tan leather!!! they arrived in black leather, installed. the ebroidery was was a different shop, $200 for everything!: I did the templates for the shop! thumbsup: the a - pillars have acura sewn down the sides, like on the rear seats. did you know the headrests in the rear seats are a different size? drivers side is bigger!

Also, FYI: SOMEONE ASKED, AND YES THE RAILS ARE THE SAME SIZE!! JUST BOLT IN SEATS, AND PLUG IN HARNESS!
