Megan batch 4 headers installed
Megan batch 4 headers installed
Got my headers put in saturday , still havent given the ECU time to adjust and theres a lot of debate if you should unplug your battery or if the ecu adjusts on its own over 7 days but either way they fit perfect, the resonance is there but its not annoying in my opinion and on the highway it feels like a whole new car, i love it. Car is an 02 Type S

u will feel difference at the beginning, the car pulls strong for the first 2 days, then the ECU adjust then it will only release the power at high rpm
u need to give some runs to make it adjust

hey sam lemme buy ur car lol
i meant to post this earlier...a friend of mine has a 300ZX twin turbo and bought the megan straightpipe for it (at least i think it was a straightpipe). he has the same exact sound. and i helped him install it so we know it's not the bolts. the resonance is just the sound of the gas moving within the headers.
i'm sure some people have loose bolts and stuff like that but i think this helps prove that the rattling noise many of us are hearing is not a problem with the header. they are significantly lighter than stock, so my thinking is that the walls are too think to block out the sound. doesn't bother me though since i only hear it under acceleration.

Next is an unorthodox crank pulley i hear they are the next best thing, like 13 wheel HP just for one pulley, the ac/alternators are not necessary i hear, but i could be wrong thats why i post for professional opinions

You see, I did the UR pulley before I did headers. Well, after about 4 days with the UR pulley I was in love. There was such a noticeable difference in power it was unreal.
Then I threw on my Megans and everything I gained dow low from the UR pulley was negated by the headers. I'm sure the combination of the 2 mods is a winner. But the loss down low with the headers still sux.
