The other thread got me thinking and I figured why not. So what are some of the ugliest/stupidest mods you've ever done, seen done, or heard of being done to our cars? Of course pictures would greatly help, but if ya don't have 'em, a good description would suffice

 

Ive seen an Acura TL thats been raised on like...22 inch rims. Those ricer spoilers that are "universal" for all cars on ebay. Yah, thats basically it.

yea dont know the badging! i got my H grille painted and sitting in my garage waiting for winter to be over.

that black tl would look sick if it was done proper, atleast lowered and good rims.

6-speed swap, engine swap, and buying new JDM yo badges just to find out you want them gone later...

 

considering the fact that our cars are actually Honda's built in the US, Dont you think people in Japan are calling our cars "rice" for having Acura badges. Just something to ponder. JDM badging just means you are into the roots of your ride. Personally I like it. Anyone know where i can find some?

 

Rice is having one of those heavy aluminum wings on a TL with 2 big ass mufflers, a non-functional hoodscoop, those sitckers on the side of the fenders to look like vents, a real ugly body kit mostlikely made for another car and those aftermarket LED taillights.

IMHO an exhaust other than the ATLP which adds 10hp, is a stupid mod. All it does is make your car sound meaner while adding a mere 2-3hp.

i saw a TL with a body kit duct taped on and a biggest fart can that could have been stuffed under there sideways. huge spoiler and cheap gansta rims from pep boys. i was ready to punch this person in the face - over and over and over. and had his suspension like bottomed out from all of the people and crap in his car. o and he had a NOS sticker. what a horrible thing to do to a TL. i wish i snapped a pic.

...sorry man but ur wrong..the lip spoiler looks perfectly fine if u dont want the bulky OEM one...im not hating on the OEM spoiler either.

I dunno... to me there's nothing wrong with the M3 lip spoiler on the trunk. It looks perfectly fine and isn't ugly IMO, but it does look a little odd to me since the trunk already has that little lip at the top.

Now as a roof spoiler, a modded M3 lip looks pretty good IMO. It's not too pronounced like the Sarona (which I'm sitll trying to decide if I think is too big or not), but it does give a nice look to the rear. Plus it costs a HELLUVA lot less than the Sarona, which isn't a bad thing at all

 

I've seen this thing around, and always just shake my head.
